Lol, Nice Korn...

Mine gets it anywhere between once a week and once every other weekend, depending on work/school.

She also gets a full detail about every 6 months, that includes a hand wash, wax, and clay bar. Also with the detail she gets a steam-cleaned engine bay, all the interior fabric vaccumed and shampooed, leather treatment, etc...

Only runs me around a $100 at the local detail shop.

On average I wash it at least 3 times a month. Sometimes more if I have time. I need to take it in for a full detail sometime soon.

Since my car is black, it needs a good wash every now and then. so i just spray it down with the hose.

I usually get a car wash like once a week or once every two weeks. depending how dirty it is.

My car typically gets washed at least twice a week in the summer. Full detail usually every month......

Would get done more if I had time, I am usually too busy detailing everyone else's cars.....

When you detail cars every day, you lack motivation to do your own :-P

anyhew

i feel bad for your car jol lmao

golfer i know how it is when you lose motivation for something your actualy doing all the time but for others
you just gotta pick yourself up an think how awsome your car will look when she's spanking new an shiny looking

ooh and what is detailing? and clay is that like a wax of some kind

i bought some once a year car polish cause i think that much of my car lol

and some other stuff like finnishing cloths and stuff mainly for another car i have. A 1951 MG TD
heres a link to one practicly the same except the grill on my one is green like the rest of the car and the soft top is a tan colour like the car next to it
http://www.dyna.co.za/cars/MG_TD_50_Green.jpg
cant wait to take it out next year

but anyhew like i said i bought some stuff for keeping it spick an span but
well ive never been all that highly motivated to put in the hard labour and polish by hand or anything so any tips or hints for anything car cleaning related would be cool

Usually every weekend, but hectic weeks = no love for the car, I think it's been 2 weeks+ since she has gotten hosed down, icon_cry.gif She's really dirty, sept for the wheels, I usually "clean" them every other day and then REALLY clean/polish them on the weekends, since I don't want dirt/grime/brake dust/other crap to build up on those shiny puppies icon_biggrin.gif

Yeah, but my car is soo destroyed from 2 years of college, not to mention being hit parked multiple times, I have completely given up.... Too many lazy inconsiderate assholes, one I get a new car I will treat it like a baby again.

As far as what is a detail, It is basically just a really good cleaning. A detail where I work consists of:

Exterior: Wash (which consists of removing all bugs, tar, anything else stuck on the paint), Wax, Buff minor scratches, wheels, Tire Shine, Windows

Interior: Vacuum, Shampoo Carpets, Wipe down/clean all surfaces (dash, center console, doors, seats, trim, everything), Shampoo Cloth Seats, Windows, Door Jambs

Some additional things that can be included in a detail:

Clay bar - A clay bar is used to remove anything rough on top of your paint. It is used with some type of lubricant and leaves your car super smooth. Will take off bugs, tar, over spray, etc.

Buff entire car (Either for scratch removal, fix swirls, try to brighten dull pain, etc)
Clean Engine Bay
Clean/Protect Leather
Dye Floor Mats/Carpet (When your carpet gets so faded destroyed, have dyes that match to the original color of the carpet)
Polish Chrome (wheels, grills, anywhere else), hell, polish any metals....
Vinyl Dress (Door Panels, Exterior Trim, Center Consoles, etc Leaves it with a nice shine)
Can Wax Painted Door Jambs

I think that pretty much covers most stuff, feel free to add anything I missed.

whenever i shower, it showers...we're close like that. it loves it when i blow on its mirrors....

----
during the summer, it's usually once a week..maybe once every two weeks depending if i go out and who is with me (gotta give the ladies something clean to ..."ride" in lmao.../nerd)
during the winter/college days, it rarely gets washed. if i go through salt, i'll spray it off at a carwash ASAP....
