There are TOO many products in the car care section, especially with relation to glazes, sealants, polishes, wax, etc...
Why not make an at-a-glance table which shows which does what, and in what process/order to use the products? Reading through all of the descriptions takes a lot of time, and even then the proper order of use is rather mystifying to a non-pro such as myself. |

Ya it does look like there is alot of product there. And yes there is a nice description of each but i like that. I like that they took time to actually explain the product. But the order/process idea is a good one. That would help the non pros(myself included) a little when it comes to doing a detail correctly. Good suggestion...

For a chart of polishes
http://thedetailinghandbook.com/Polish_Chart.aspx Opinions on sealants and waxes are like ass holes, everyone has them and they are all different. Keep trying products until you find the one you like the best. IMO. Product is a VERY small percentage of detailing. People that are good at detailing have done it time and time again and have their process and methods and motions fine tuned for what they do and for what works for them. Everyone has thier own way of doing things and for the most part no one is better or worse than each other. A good detailer can pick up almost any product and have something better result from it, while a novice detailer can have the best products in the world and end with something much worse than it even started. If you have specific questions on how to do stuff, ASK!! |

I agree. This applies to a lot of things, not just detailing. But when buying a product, I shouldn't have to be confused, or ask questions, optimally of course. A mere suggestion :D I will be in the market. I've half a Volvo with fresh paint, and I need to get the other half looking nice! |
