Small 680 cranking amp battery...

Meant to be used as an extra "accesory" battery....not to replace your car battery

"50 bucks shipped" means shipping is free... prolly near $15 anyway.

What is the amperage of a standard car battery? I may be interested in getting this as an additional battery for my stereo and such. I need to figure out if it will fit where I want it though etc... Does it have the holes for the screw in terminals? Like is it just missing the screws? Do you know the size/threading of them so if I got this, I could go buy the replacement terminals?

Also, I've never wired a second battery inline with the first. Do you need any sort of device that only allows power to flow one way? I'd imagine you need a fuse on both ends rather than just from the primary battery as if the wire shorts out after the fuse, the second battery can still short to the car... lemme know what all I'd have to do if I go this. Plus would this put anymore strain on my poor alternator? I work the poor thing so hard.. ehhe

when hooking up 2 different batteries you need an isolator... the power it takes to charge one can eventually kill the other... you would need a fuse as close as possible to both batteries on the line... to be safe.

Yeah it has holes for screw in terminals... You can install it anywhere and anyhow, just not upside down...

But waaah! I wanna install it upside down! *grin*... Just so I can call you up and tell you it's defective and I want my money back.. =P

As for the Isolator, how does it control what charge goes to the battery from the alternator so it doesn't overcharge it? It just constantly watch the voltage and when it's not in use and peaked voltage it stops?

Ill include all warranty information with it....

Like I said I never used it so Ill send it just how I got it.

What everybody recommends is something like a Stinger Relay....

It acts like an isolator. When your car battery is charged it will charge your auxiliary battery and vice-versa...

an isolator does just that... it prevents your aux battery from draining the main... it prevents the charge of both simultaneously... which could be quite a strain on your alternator.

yeah =P The 7 days is simply to give people 6 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes, and 55 seconds to view the item, and the last 5 seconds to bid on it.. =P Too bad you can't just skip the 7 day period.. but if you do, nobody sees it to bid on it

I put the auction up for the GameBoy I traded Goph, and I had a bid within like 5 minutes.

Thought that was cool.

BTW - I found the UB. Turns out it was still at my **** mom's work. Apparently they need a shipping label or something **** up like that. So it'll be out in the next couple days.

I'll throw something free in it too for the wait. I dunno what, but I'm bound to have something.
