chip'll give you a 15-20hp gain... the cold air induction may help, but not too much since you already have a supercharger... it's already forcing air into the engine. exhaust would probably be a better ideal to go with...

im getting an x pipe install this summer so i dont really want to mess with it now. I get it free because when i took my car in to get the tires changed, and balanced when i came to pick it up the guy was burning my rubber off in his garage...so i get free exhaust

those mods wont give you any gains.....j/k actually the chip just depends on what kind or type you get and what its setup to do so choose wisely. i'd also say go with the new exhaust.

haha was he doing burn outs with your old tires before they changed them, or with the new ones? That sounds very unprofessional, and quite obvious that the tires are worn if they were on the new tires...

an UD pulley put on the SC will give you the biggest power gain, but that might be dangerous if you get the boost too high... but to each his own

sounds fun, but i'd take my 90 laser turbo any day (its an eclipse with different badges) why not just run a 3" dual all the way back? nothing else, nice flow

3" all the way would be too much flow...not enough backpressure...theres not enough exhaust to run through and it will sound like ****.
3" all the way is what we did to 82-92 Camaros with 305 V8s and dual-single-dual exhaust system. Headers to y-pipe and then 3" all the way to the back. Single exhaust. If you dont mind the look of single exhaust...its the best working exhaust for 3rd gen camaros. (off-topic a bit there) |

actually, DJ, if the car you're talking about is turbo'd then you would want the biggest pipe you can fit/afford. turbo cars don't need that precious backpressure that naturally aspired engines need. basically the turbo is forcing air into the intake manifold, so you want as much exhaust to escape as quickly as possible, which creates better flow through the entire combustion process. just a little something i learned by reading... |

I say you gut out the trunk and install a Jet Engine, that wil kick some butts if not melt them to a heap of metal.
OR do what my brother does. If you can't beat them in speed or off the line then runn them off the road before they get off the line. |

i wanna turbocharge my car, but thats like 4 grand later, **** expensive. if i had a turbo thatd kik my engine from like 190 to 270.
chip would work well cause u can tune everything. But there is alittle blue canister that helps. If u look on the side is says NOS |

Yeh and if that little blue canister is 100+ shot of NOS then ur engine is pretty much **** unless u have it set up for NOS.

Your best bet.. is to change to a smaller PULLEY and maybe getting cold air. Could always get NOS for quick shots. Id say pulley chip and exhaust for now. a big step ifyou want in the future is water cool the supercharger.. it makes a big diff. YOu could easily get 350-375 with the right tweaks.

this may be an old post, but WHAT THE **** IS A FORD LASER TURBO. ITS A PLYMOUTH LASER WHICH WAS MADE IN A COLLABORATIVE EFFORT BETWEEN MITSUBISHI AND CHRYSLER!!!! dont ever call my car anything other than eagle talon, mitsubishi eclipse, plymouth laser, or DSM.
besides that, anybody that thinks backpressure is needed is a dumb ass. all it does is restrict the exit of hot gases, and therefore limits how much air can be drawn in, which is bad, you want mroe air, is you want to spend any money on a S/C car get higher boost pulleys, fuel pump, fpr, injectors, fuel rail, and replace internals, then you're good to go. and dont forget the quaiffe differential |
