This guy does amazing work. The wax he uses is Swissvax Mystery (I believe) which is close to $600 a tub (http://www.swissvax.com/E/US/Produkte_Lack3.htm)

I wish I had a car worthy of his work.

God damn. simply amazing. I don't think I would drive my car ever again if the paint looked that good. Isn't this the guy that charges like 5k for a full detail?

That is understandable. I am sure a detail like that takes more than a day to do. He is very skilled. And I am sure he makes some DAMN good money doing that.

This one right here "05 NSX Imola Orange", that is quite a car to own let alone get to drive.

I personally think its alittle over rated. Do you really need to check the depth of the paint..no..its a new car.
Idk maybe it just me. I've gotten some pretty bad cars and ended up with a mirror/swirl free finish.

you would be surprised how fubar alot of the factory paint jobs are. i half a second to long with a rotary and you out a few grand for a new paint job. checking the thickness shows you how much you have to work with and how long you can work it.

i also suggest you guys go here http://www.showcardetailing.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=31 this ninja does some amazing work also.

Definitaly NOT! What he is doing is VERY SMART! I am guessing he deals with higher end cars like vetts and lambos and ferraris and such. You **** up that paint or burn through. 1000s of dollars in paint. The paint they use on ferraris is not hte same paint that I sell or you can get locally. They use Global paint. Which is MEGA expensive. Even for just your basic black

And with other cars who knows how many times they have had that car buffed or sanded or even claybarred. As that all cuts down on clear.

And you of all people should know how **** stock paint is these days. They are putting it on so thin it seams. There are times where I can see the primer through the paint on a brand new factory paint job!!!!!!!!!!! It was on a BEEMER! I couldn't believe it. What he is doing is very smart and is security. And imo very nessesary. As he is cutting pretty deep for some of those scratches. Who knows how thin the clear is.

I've got those same fine scratches in my car that only show up it direct spot light (sun, in the garage, etc). Is it polish, buffing, etc?

I would also like to know since my truck has those light scratches as well. I'm not too concerned about them since it's my winter vehicle but if they were easy to get out I would do it.

It might be over rated but if he has so many customers that he's turning away business, I think you might be in a minority group.

lots and lots of patience.

go get yourself a porter cable 7424, some lake country pads, prima polishes/compounds, and an entire weekend. theres a ton of websites that have video tutorials on how to do exactly what he is doing. mind you he is going to get better results quicker because he is using a rotary buffer.
