My state has nothing about modifying the lights.. i know what your gonna say go to the local police, but i'm just lookin to see if theres anybody who lives here and knows what's legal.

No color OTHER than red ON the rear, except factory reverse lights & license plate lights.
No flashing or rotating lights.

so basically dont use them unless the car is parked and not running and on private property

No, basically just make sure the TUBES are hidden, and they don't flash.

sounds like you have experience, cuz i heard those 2 colors weren't allowed around here... also along with blue but see people with that every once and a while. do you live in NE or something? or is that an all around law?

I never understood, why not green? I remeber seeing a green lightbar only one time ever, and it was in DC, i think on a security car.

The only thing I can think of is that red and green are traffic signal colors, and they don't want people getting confused by someone across the intersection turning on a red or green light.

That law pre-dated neons.

to be honest i think thats quite a dumb law... but i see the reason behind it. do you know if it's legal for someone to drive with them on? or is that unlawful? just wondering.

The only restrictions are those I mentioned. Anything else is fair game.

The pics of my Dakota in my sig are very old. It's now purple with white flames.

so somebody can just drive down O street in lincoln with them on?

Uhhh.....yeah.

There are four-star accomodations at the east end of the state.
There are nights under the stars at the west end of the state.

....but it's more like there's NOTHING (not everything) in between...

Seriously, if you've never been to Nebraska, there's some good hunting and fishing here, and most of the people are friendly. That's pretty much all we've got. You want dizzying nightlife and haute couture? Wrong state, dude. Wear your jeans, eat your funnel cake, watch the rodeo and quit yer whining. Have another Bud Light Lime.....

haha mccook, there literally is nothing here if you don't like fishing or hunting. i personally don't like either but i still love it here.

Sorry. Flyin lol. Plus the car is already sorta being torn apart. Even if I did drive I woudl take my grandpas car. They don't want me driving that long in my car. But ya I booked a flight for cheaper than it would cost to drive. So.
