The Dangers of Living in Nebraska!

So the other night I was coming home from a good night out with an awesome girl, and I had a little accident. A calf had gotten out of a pasture next to the highway, and I hit it. It was a black one, so I had not time to react. I was going about 65 when I hit it. Needless to say my car was pretty messed up. We took it in a day later to have a body mechanic take a look and assess the damage. He said that he would be surprised if it wasn't totaled. So now I have to say goodbye to an old friend that's been through a lot with me.

Yeah, it pretty much sucked, but I am already starting to look for a new car. I'm thinking either a Trans Am, or a Mustang GT. Not sure yet.
And yes, the Dairy Queen was pretty awesome. lol

wow that sucks, my freind works at a salvage yard and i have seen cars that had less damage then that and the were totaled. sorry to hear about it good luck

Ouch! Glad you are OK! We have that problem with deer around here, I have to drive slow in some places at night, and I'm glad I do, even going 35 mph and a deer coming out in front of you can be quite scary.

Yeah, i was pretty lucky to not get hurt. It happened south of Schuyler. It's a small town thats about 15 miles east of Columbus, Nebraska. I have full coverage, so I'm ok in that department too. I just about cry every time i see it, because I think of all the hard work I put into it, and all the lights.

wow suckage.... this is another good reason i don't drive outside of lincoln very often... too many cows and dear, they'll obviously **** your car up

I'm on my second Mustang and I've never regreted buying either one.

At least you didn't hit a Moose or something like that. I can't see the pictures right now to see how bad it is but it doesn't sound good.

Well now i think i've decided to get an suv or a truck. Yes I know that gas is going to be a killer, but i could really use the extra room. The mustang is just too expensive of a car for me right now.
