add an 'a' and you have scat, which = ****. Apparently that's what it has done for you.

Unfortunate waste. Put that together with your other five bills and it coulda done some serious damage on a purchase.

I have an Edge Evolution Programmer...a lot of guys have purchased the SCT tuner for the F150 and complained about its performance vs money....most if not all have switched out for either an Edge or custom tunes...

Im happy with my Edge...I have reprogram at the flick of the key (roughly 30 sec) and it gives me a lot of extra power and stiffens up the shift points.....I could run it on Stage 3 which would give me 85 HP and 110 FT lbs extra icon_cool.gif (but thats on 93 octane)

I run my edge on level 2 and picked up 58 HP and around 85 ft lbs....and thats on 87 octane....and I can run 1/4 mile times on it as well icon_wink.gif

and its was 399.99 shipped to my door icon_cool.gif

Maybe their is just not that much more power to be gained out of the 4.6? Either way I think an Edge or Diablo programmer would have been a better choice.

its actually a 4.0
I was on the phone w. the SCT customer service rep for almost and hour. Really nice people. I figured i did something wrong. Guy was nice enough to help me do it step by step and have it the way i wanted the truck to perform.
Unfortunately it didn't help much. I might just return it and get me another one.

The gains out of a V8 are going to be much more noticable than the gain off a 4 liter. I retuned my computer on my Stang and there's a VERY noticable difference in power. Tuner + rear gears = poor mans supercharger!!! icon_lol.gif

I drove my friends focus before his tune. And then drove it after his tune. There was DEF a noticable difference in the driving even in a 2.0Liter....

im pretty sure you dont see that much hp gains unless its a diesel.

as far as gas tuners is concerned id get an edge evo or a new bullydog

my friend has the 4.6 f150 on the regular setting on the bully dog and its faster then my 5.4, so it would stomp a mud hole in my 5.4 on the performance setting thats for sure. thats probably what ill be getting, but the dash pod of the edge is sexy

SCT with custom tunes might be worth it....it would probably be about 35-100 extra bucks for custom tunes though...but it would help with performance.

My edge picked up extra gains because of aftermarket intake and exhaust.

Although I do have a 5.4L.....and Yellow, the difference is night and day with the edge...I used to hate how it took about 1-2 second delay from stepping on the throttle to get the truck to kick down into the proper gear for power...now its immediate...couldnt drive the truck without it...

Custom tune FTW

If you've got a local place that does custom tunes and you've got the cash you should go for it. Luckily the truck I just bought already had a custom tune so it saved me the hassle.

what do you have done to it where your worried about you fuel mixtures? if you dont have either a change in stock air intake or fuel, you really dont need to invest in a turner or worrying about your afm.
so you wont feel anything.
