Most cars you just pop the plastic cover off of the window arm, there might be a clip, then there is a bolt or screw holding that arm onto the door. I've never had to take the door panel off of a Talon though so I don't know specifics.

The window crank could be held on by an Omega clip. If that's the case there are two things you can do.
The cheepest method is to get and old wash rag and stick it between the crank and the panel and wiggle it aroudn until the clip pops. The easiest method (IMO) is to buy a window crank removal tool that you push in between the crank and panel and pop the clip off. |

A-Ray has it, my Cavalier cranks are exactly as he described.

That's the basis of it! This is a basic picture of an omega clip. What you are trying to do is get the rag to hang on to one of the ends enough to pop the lipc off. Also, the openings on the clip should align with the crank itself (if that makes sense).

You may have to move it around a bit. It is one of those things you are going to have a hard time with your first time. But when you get it off and figure the trick out. It will be easy. The tool comes in VERY hand and def makes it easier. They are cheap to and can be found at like advanced auto or something.

Yep my S10 had the clips behind the cranks. I just took a screw driver and pushed it off.

I bought one of the tools before putting the sound deadened in the doors. It was great. Not sure why I waited so long to buy one.

Screw driver is the easiest thing to use, unless it's a super tight area. The tool will be your friend.

I normally just use a dental pick to pull the clip ... push in the panel lightly , and you should seee the clip , pull from the closed end then remove the handle ...
Most of the time to reinstall you can put the clip back in the slot then put it back on and give it a gentle tap into place |

Speaking from experience...if you use the rag method..make sure you do SOMETHING to keep the clip from flying 30 feet away..finding the little clip is a task ..trust me

not all cars can do that though... my ZX2's panel in front of the speakers weren't screwed in even though it was a seperate piece... the put the plastic on and then melted the stands on the other side -_-" I was able to undo 90% of the panel then ROTATE it so I had access to my speaker tho ;] |
