Got a pair of 6.5" and 6x9" coaxials today, will install them this week-end...I've heard a lot of great things about them, and I like the fact that they have the silk tweeter instead of a metal one (I had Infinity KAPPAs in my old car, and really liked them - except for some high notes which were way to sharp for me...)

So, nothing really substantial yet, but I'll post some opinions this week-end after I install them

Not sure if anyone cares, but -

These speakers are amazing. Much better quality than the KAPPAs I used to have - the bass response isn't quite as low, but the mid-bass to tweeter range is much crisper, and much cleaner - even with the stock head unit I have in there now. Once I replace that, should make a huge difference.

Highly recommended

That's actually why I chose Kappas, I wanted the sharp and clear highs to compliment my JL Audio sub. MB Quart was a little too much highs and Boston Acoustics was too little. Unfortunately, the store didn't have CDT for me to listen to.

See, the highs in the Kappas were very clear, and very sharp - but they were also piercing more often than not. It made it uncomfortable to listen to after a while, regardless of the volume.

I'd easily go with CDT over Kappas now.

I love my CDT's and this is why I suggest them left and right.

Clean clear highs but not harsh. And still strong midbass to go with them.
