whats the best way to make connections in an audio setup?

whats the best way to make connections in an audio setup? Crimping? Twisting and tape? Because i just did the twisting and tape method and i this somehow i just blew a speaker

Soldering would be the best. Followed by crimping. Last would be twisting and tape.

That shouldn't cause you to blow a speaker unless you had no connection, turned the music WAY up, hit a bump which caused the wire to connect, and then there was too much power to the speaker.

I twist the wires together and then solder them and finish it off by heat shrinking the connections

Or you could even slide a crimp connector over the solder connection and then heatshrink and tape that to be a badass. But unless your twist and tape was done poorly it shouldn't have blown your speaker. I do a lot of twisting and taping on quick installs for friends and stuff. Never had a problem. I just strip about an inch off and twist those very tightly, fold it in half and twist that, then don't skimp on tape. It's what, $3 a roll for the good ****? 50 cents for the not so good ****?

I use the little twist caps for EVERYTHING!!! LOL

Do what they said i no longer do wiring was a pain and not worth my time....I will have LBshaq do it for me icon_biggrin.gif
