I am willing to mix any normal manufacturer color in PPG's DBC line for Oznium members for a good deal. I just yanked a DBC mix bank out of a shop that wasn't paying their bill. And my manager said I can use up any of the tint I want. As just like the last bank we had to yank, the tints just sit around collecting dust and end up garbage(There are a crazy amount of rules about these banks through PPG and DuPont so we can't put them in another shop very easily)

Here is my deal.

ANY normal color(no crazy color shifting or anything. Just stuff you will find on any regular car)

25 bucks a Pint.
Plus 10 bucks for shipping. Shipping will be done through UPS and a tracking number will be provided.

If you would like your paint in spray cans I can do that also. The nozzles on these cans are the nice good ones. That spray the fan shape. Not the **** circle regular ones. Cost for that will be cost of paint + 5 dollars PER spray can plus 5 dollars shipping per can. Shipping this stuff gets expensive due to weight.

If you have any questions about anything please just pm or post.

Thanks

Dan

Couple questions asked by another member
What are we getting for a pint??
A pint! lol. It is 16oz of acutal paint.

Just the base,no reducer??
Correct. This is JUST BASE COAT! No reducer. You will ALSO need to clear over the top of this! To get reducer if you would like to spray out of a gun you will need to find your local PPG distributor and get some DT reducer. It isn't too expensive. I WILL not sell it. Sorry. But after me buying it and selling it to you it would be cheaper for you to get it local after shipping and such.

What is the mix ratio?
1:1

How good is color match and coverage in your opinion??
Very good. Color match is def much better than your cheaper lines. Coverage is good as well. But coverage depends on ALOT of factors. Can't put white over balck and expect it to cover!

Will you match to parts like a fuel door if i send it??
No. Sorry. I have too much to do with my car and other things to spend countless hours paint matching. We are the best paint matchers in the area here as we spray out the test panels and such. Not worth my time at all.

How long have you been mixing paint??
I have been mixing paint and working at this store now for over a year. March 23 was my first day in fact. I am the main paint mixer here and any paint that needs to be mixed is MWAH!

How much training have you had??
Zero first day I went to Milwaukee Area Tech College for a year for auto body and refinishing. I got the job about 3/4 of the way through of that course. While working here I have been sent to Spies Hecker tinting/color matching school and PPG Refinishing Training. I am a Certified PPG Refinisher and a Certified Spies Hecker Color Tinter. I have also been color matching and doing painting on the side since school has ended. I have done everything from dashes, key fobs, to whole bikes.

Do you have a copy of the tech sheet so those of us to lazy to search can read it.
Lazy mofo lol. I can do that if you would like. Please state that IN YOUR "order" you would like a copy.

Just regular black? Yes I do have some. I will have to look and see if I can get a full gallon though. Let me get back to you on that one. I don't know how much tint I have on that bank and how much I peronsonally have bought and have stored.

Gee, thanks for doing the simple math for me.

There is a reason people shop at Sams club, they buy in bulk to save them money. That, and the more paint you mix at a time the less times you have to mix it which means thats less time / work you put in hence me thinking I could get a better deal buying in bulk.

I love sams club.

Best I can do on a gallon of regular black is 175. I have to use some of the gallon of my personal black to make it. But that is fine. Let me know dude.

If you want other colors in gallons it is going to be more expensive. As I would probalby have to buy more tint to complete the mix. If you need another color let me know and i can see what I can do for ya.

I also have a really nice bright ass orange. Mixed it for someone and it was the wrong color. Same price as the rest. Normally this pint would go for upper 70 bucks. 25+shipping and you can have it.

I will check all these tomorrow at work.
But

I can probably mix that red yes.

A spray can holds about a quarter pint. If you want only 2 cans I will just send the rest of the paint with the cans.

For the mid size truck there are MANY variables. So I can't really say. So much determines this.

And yes. I still have the blue that pwrRngr has. I can do that as well.

The paint code is SN. As soon as I can get to the bank to get a money order I'm going to be getting myself a pint. icon_biggrin.gif

R81 is indeed you paint code. Let me know if you are ready to buy.
25/pint * 4 = 100 + 20 Shipping = $120 grand total. I have to bump shipping as liquids get HEAVY. And I am gussing it will cost me around there to ship. Plus it also helps with paypal fees.

As stated there are so many variables. Primers. Value shade. Spray gun. Pressure. Spray technique. Will you have a professional be doing this?

And if you find a FACTORY color that is fun loving sure. But remember some of hte really fancier colors are tri coats! Which I can sell if you would like. But will NOT put them in aerosol cans. It wouldn't work right.

total?

or is it an additional $5 per can to ship on top of the $20?

if its just $65 shipped for the stuff lmk if you can do the color...

I should be able to get this **** taken care of for less than my deductible. Body shop here wants $800 for everything including assembly/reinstall.
