o.k i am trying to build a good system for my 1991 Chevrolet caprice. i am really new at this still so if you guys could dump this down for me it would be much appreciated. so far i have two options so far

option #1-recommend by lbjshaq2345

Amp

Crunch PZi 250.2
1000W 1 / 2-Channel A/B Class Amplifier
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=16690

subs

2 Pioneer TS-W307D4
12" 1200W Dual 4-Ohm Subwoofer
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=17387

and i am going to add a Capacitor but know know which one yet

also going to build fiber glass boxes

Total cost around $375

Option #2-my freind is selling his system out of his Tahoe-200 bucks

amp
280 watt ken wood amp

subs
2 12 inch sony xplod subs in box

my question is which will hit harder for my car. i am leaning towards option #1 alot.
the only reason that i am considering option #2 is because i have heard the system in his truck and it hits pretty hard.

deffinately... i think sony just designed it more boom for the buck... but i know some1 that has 2 12 xplods in their trunk and it doesn't really hard compared to a single higher quality sub from JL, kenwood, RF's, etc.

U should get a JL 12w3v3. Not too expensive and a quality sub.

Ya that site is selling them cheap right now. Easily the most bang for ur buck JL sub. For only $32 more than the 12" Type R, it's not even a question of what to get. Alpine's speakers/subs aren't bad, but aren't great either.

If ur only buying one sub, I highly suggest saving a little more for a 12w6. I can't imagine having 2 12w6s or 1 12w7. Still though can't go wrong with the w3.

They're good **** icon_razz.gif Mine finally gave out on me the other day after like 6-7 months of seeing ~100w over their max rated power. Give them around their RMS and they are amazing subs for the money. Better than anything you'll find from any other BestBuy brands in the price range.
