Got ALOT of progress done today. God I forgot how much I love working on my car.

First thing I got done was my new rear view camera. LOVE how it came out. Super clean install imo. (Yes I know I am missing a bolt. I am getting all new ones as these are rusty yo!)

In the above pic you can see my switches. I got these from Tony(Trogers) and I am VERY thankful. I love them. I am very curious to see what people think of these. As they aren't "clean" but more there. Which I love somehow. And there are MANY of them haha. Which I love as then I can control every spot of my car like I want to. Nothing is wired up yet. Ran out of time. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF THESE!!!

New steering wheel. Much nicer than my old one. I am getting gauges to fill the pods. They are on order.

Took my top center grill out. As it was tilted and **** looking. I kinda like it. Time will tell how i feel about it.

More work will be getting done this week and weekend. I am going to try and get my switches and car completely rewired on sat.

LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF EVERYTHING!! PLEASE DON'T HOLD BACK!!!

love everything dude...except the switches...me personally i would have done a switch control and have it hidden...IMO doesn't look clean..which completely goes against your car..You know i luv u man..but with the switches...its a BIG! no

But i LOVE how you did the camera..very stealth..awesome work! icon_cool.gif

and i demand pics of the front w.o the grill..i've been waiting for this moment wayyyyyy to long lol

I figured most would not like the switches. But I kinda like them. And there are no real good spots I liked that I could put them and hide them. I dunno. I will use them for a while and see how I like them. It could very well change in the future.

And it was only that top center grill. I will get shots tomorrow.

Did you move your left AC vent / remove it for speakers?

Lose the damn switches. Get a few wireless remotes if you have to, but holy hell, this isn't an airplane.

Also, we all love racing, but get a steering wheel with an AIRBAG. Sure the wheel looks cool as hell, until your chest cavity gets thrown into it, breaking tons of ribs (this is why the current steering wheels are breakaway / plastic (and have an airbag)

Love the camera / the camera's location, but get a new license plate cover, the bolts are rusted icon_biggrin.gif Smoked maybe? (screw legality, it'll blend in)

Switchs look awful IMO.

Also, that big ass spoiler should go. Doesn't flow with the car. Looks like a park bench or shopping cart.

See now if I remove the switches then I have 16 little wholes chillin in that dash part. I dunno. I will give it some time. What if I build a little cover or something for them? Put a nice display design or somethin then flip up the cover and there are all my switches?

The speaker has been a LONG going project. Yes there used to be vents there. And they both still need work.

As for the steeringwheel. I have had a sparco wheel on there for a while now. Just got a different style wheel.

Oh but yes it did haha. Just so glad to finally get somethin accomplished on this car. Been way too long.

And I find it hilarious that you guys are still rippin the wing. Everyone says somethin every time. Like I am actually going to take it off!! hahah NO! Yes it is obnoxious, yes it is huge, and yes it is my style ;)

And aray I still think you suck at life ;) JK!

And Kris that IS a tinted cover. I don't want to go too dark. You must not know what it is like to have cops scouring your car for illegal **** to ticket you for. It is def a nice little tint that makes it look a little nicer. I will probably get a new cover though(same one) as this one does look kinda..eh lol.

You've got to do something about the electric green accenting. It flows with nothing on your car. I'd say take all the pieces that are now green and re-spray them to gloss black. That would look great, I don't know if that is a part of your future plans for the car, though. The switches look pretty sick, it would be even sicker if each switch had it's own light...like a prewired LED from radio shack is what I'd be thinking of. That might cost a small fortune. Anyway, nice work as usual, especially with that camera install. I'm also looking forward to seeing that gauge pod filled and completed...thats going to look awesome.

All that green will be resprayed in either black or my color changing blue to green color.

And thanks for the comments. I will probably put some leds in there. I have plenty to do it. And the pods will be filled as soon as my gauges come in.

I'm no stranger. In Virginia, and they're ****. Had two bike cops (HAHA) tell me my glow was illegal, regardless of me being parked, and regardless if they were on or not, since he knew I had them, I could get a ticket.

I knew this was a power trip / total ****, but the funny part was 'Do you have a trailer to tow that thing out of here' , referencing I couldn't drive it home, I said no, laughed, and asked if they wanted a business card for some better LEDs (they had a crappy blinker on the back)

They seemed **** and biked away. Also, I drive a tinted out CTS, until the LEDs go on, it's grandpa's family cruiser. As for the Neon... Just begging for a drug interdiction stop. biglaugh.gif

PS: In NJ with my old Explorer (22's with HIDs in headlights and fogs) was stopped by a South Jersey cop, saying my lights were illegal, and too color tinted - I told him they were DOT approved, and he could remove the bulb and check if he wanted. Needless to say, no ticket.

Werd. God do I love this roof console. I can't wait to get it fully in there the way I want it so I can start modding it out. Leds everywhere in there. Replace all the map lights(4) and the dome light with leds, finding them putting a 5 in TV in there. GOD do I love this thing aha. So many possibilities.

Because I don't want to icon_smile.gif

I have MANY things to hook up. Everything from horns, to cameras, to lights, to tvs. And having it all in one place makes it easy and nice.

Nothing is wired up yet. In fact they are only hand tight. I am waiting for a full day to tear apart my whole car and rewire my whole car. So they will all get wired then. And right now they don't all have something. So yes ready for future stuff. Makes it easier in the long run.

Only mounted up there. Still have to make and cut some parts in the headliner to get it to be flush all the way back. And I got the wires and sensor for the temp/compass. So I have the lights hooked up now. But I want to replace all the map lights and dome light with superfluxes. Should look really cool. So far I am VERY happy with it. Extremely useful. Didn't pay too much for it all either. Only 40 for the whole console and all the wiring/sensors I need to make everything work. And I need to paint the "grey" black. And I also want to put a 5-6 in tv in teh second compartment. Would work perfectly! On with the pics!

Not sure if I am the first to do something like this. I did a search on 2gn.org and came up with nothing. I am guessing I am not the first but def something most neons don't have. Which is awesome. And I plan on modding some other stuff on it so. Gunna be a fun project.

Looks pretty stock, in a good way. Great fit on it... glass that baby up and paint it like your dash, definetally LOTS of things you could do to make it awesome. Should be a good outcome icon_twisted.gif

I would like to paint it. But trying to mask off the map lights are going to be way hard. As they swivel. Taping off hte buttons will be hard as hell as well. I might just have to leave this one the way it is so that way it actually looks nice.

Putting a tv in there for sure as soon as I find a good deal on one. I have a 7in layin around here somewhere. But have it is too big. I would like to keep this thing in good condition as when this car dies on me when ever I could easily resell this bad boy.

Thanks clutch
