That overhead console looks great, even better when it's painted. One of those flip-down compartments would be great for a "hidden" switch panel, shall you ever decide to 86 the panel you already have on your dash up front, which unfortunately, my opinion on it is changing quickly. A hidden panel would look awesome, and it would prevent any of the switches from being accidentally flipped, that, and your friends/passengers messing with them....maybe.

That was one of the first things i thought of when I got this thing in. As the first compartment with the big button is made to put your garage door opener in there. Well my garage at my apt isn't on a motor. So I was thinking of putting my switches in there. I dunno. Then get a panel made with the dodge logo or something to cover all the wholes in teh dash.

I hate to say it.... But dear lord your car is ghetto. From the rattle can green under the hood to the switches to the wing. I know not everyone has a ton of cash floating around and not a whole lot of time..... but damn. One project at a time. What cracks me up even more is that you SHOW the car? I've got a rock chip in my front lip and a crack from the shipping company and that embarrasses me at shows. If this were my car I'd tear everything out and start over before I drove it 1 more foot. Obviously you WANT to do some good things... but finish with others first. A good place to start would be that dash. NEVER have switches exposed that you don't absolutely have to have. And if you need that many switches maybe you should look into an expandable alarm? Not sure who makes one now, but back in the day you could get an Alpine 8081 that was expandable to (if I recall correctly) 16 outputs. The roof console.... a 5" tv? The console is a unique idea honestly. I'm working on getting a 15" or larger TV to be glassed into the extra headliner I have. I'll do LED floods as domes and raised lettering to set it all off. But a 5" tv???? Thats cute icon_biggrin.gif The doors I'm with ya on. I love my lambo's. I had JT Evo's (which are garbage by the way) but now that I've got my LSD's I'm so much happier with them. No worries about fitment or going out of adjustment due to improper opening.

Sorry for being so hard on you but I own a "Neon" too. And its **** like this that makes cars like mine take crap.

I believe he is planning to get rid of the green spray bombed stuff soon. That should make a huge difference. I'm not wild about the switches myself, but its his car.

Korn I was really impressed with the dash as it was on saw horses in prep and paint, then you tossed it in with dozens of switches and it totally took away the look of the dash and made it switches. Eeks.

The camera is pretty darn sharp. Your ride is great example of what doing something yourself and taking pride in your own ride is all about.

I say that because my painted "park bench" is a $579 Carbon Fiber Kaminari piece that matches the rest of the kit I have. Not a $69 ebay aluminum special. My "gaudy" wheels are $3000 Dropstar 05's which happen to be the only 20's on an SRT that I know of. I don't have switches drilled into my dash and I don't have spray painted stuff under my hood.

I know its all about personal taste. But there's a line between personal taste and junk. My wing.... personal taste.... His wing.... junk. My blue powdercoated parts under the hood.... personal taste.... His rattle canned green stuff under his hood..... junk. Pitviper on SRTforums has neon green underhood parts.... or at least he did. That stuff looked great because it was all professionally done pieces. Yeah it wasn't my cup of tea (personal taste) but it wasn't garbage just slapped on.

The modified registration plate is far more illegal then the tinted cover you have in front of it. I like the location of the rear view camera, but if you get rolled by a trooper you are gonna get **** for it.

I got pulled last night by a local for "running a stop sign". It was 11 at night and I did actually stop. not 100 percent stopped there for 3 seconds but oh well. That is another story. He didn't even mention the camera. ANd he ran my plates and all. Got out of the ticket too ;)

But thanks pork. And you ever going to respond to my aim and pms?

I'm a newb here, but not to Korns car. I've been a member over at 2gn.org for years and thats where I first saw his car. I never really got a good look at it til here. And I think its ghetto. Sorry if you guys don't agree because my post count isn't high enough. Forgive me for not knowing about this site until a few months ago.

As far as you Korn.... No problem with you. But I think your car needs a LOT of work before you go posting pictures especially if you can't take the criticism a fellow "Neon" owner gives you. Everyone else.... Eat a bowl.

I'm 30 years old and in the military. A little far fetched to think I'm sucking on mommy and daddy's tit still. Maybe some one else needs to get THEIR story straight before they start talking trash?

My car is my car. I know a lot of people don't like the mod path I've taken it. Whoever said the skirts hang lower than anything else must not have looked hard enough to find that they hang just as low (not that I've measured or anything..... well.... yeah I **** have) but you are wrong there. The wing.... Nope... lots of people don't like it. I think it works perfect with the car. Same thing with the skirts. I have a rear bumper to match the rest its just not on there yet. People don't like it thats cool. People don't like me around here because I don't swing from the nuts of a high poster? Get a life.

Hey Korn,I like the rear view camera install, hopefully it won't fog up on you this winter, maybe you should try to seal the plate cover to the tag with some silicone? As for the new switches....I think you can definitely do alot better than that. icon_confused.gif

When did you get the ScangaugeII? Do you like it? I've been thinking about getting one of those for sometime now. icon_cool.gif

But that is completely differently put than how you first did. If you would have said it like that the first time none of this would have happened. Quite frankly I know my car is a long way away. But that doesn't mean I can't take pics. I am proud of what I have done so far.

What ever. It is done. This isn't the place to argue about this.

And loosing and moss. Sure it's true. You guys know it all. Appreciate the info ;)

Now for the real stuff.

Tat2. Thanks. Ya I dont know if it will fog up. Not too concerned. As it isn't a neccesity. Just sorta cool to have. I will look into maby sealing it up though so dirt doesn't get back there! New switches may be moved and a plate may be put in their place with the dodge logo or something. Still thinking. And the SCII. I love it! So nice to have. And has helped with gas milage. My driving habits have changed alot and now I get better fuel economy. I got it probably a couple months ago.

I like Korn's car. It's something different, and not everyone can say they have something different. The switches look kind of stupid right now, but I'm looking forward to the finished project. I personally love the wing, and the doors. The console looks awesome, and I too think it is probably the first in the Neon world. It's easy to see that he has put a lot of time and money into his car to make it his own, and not have it look like every other Neon out there. Good work Korn. Keep it up.

Thanks,
Chris

Eh. I've always liked Korn's car. The wing amuses me, but it doesn't look bad. The spray bombed green is pretty nasty though icon_razz.gif didn't know you had it under the hood too. Hoping that gets re-sprayed with everything else.

wtf is up with people? if he likes it then great, if you don't keep it to yourself.. it's a pretty cheap car in the first place.. why would you spend $3000 dollars on wheel on a car that costs twice that tops, thats just you asking yourself to get your stuff jacked. most of us got our dislike out jokingly.. unlike you. he did all his stuff himself. and just so you know, spray paint is just as good as any other paint, just sold differently.

Besides that, Korn the car is great, liked it since i've seen it. Wings big, but fits the rest of the car just fine since it's a "tuner" looking car

Switches in the console might not be a bad idea...then get rid of your A-pillar pod and throw some gauges in your dash in that switch spot :)

If would be bad ass to press a button and have a switch panel flip down.

I am getting gauges for that A pillar. But that isn't a bad idea. I could only fit 1 or 2 in there. Don't even know if I could fit 2. I will check but good idea!

My blue powdercoated parts under the hood.... personal taste.... His rattle canned green stuff under his hood..... junk. Pitviper on SRTforums has neon green underhood parts.... or at least he did. That stuff looked great because it was all professionally done pieces. Yeah it wasn't my cup of tea (personal taste) but it wasn't garbage just slapped on.

im sorry that every one doesnt have $3579 to spend on a wing and wheels...
is my car "ghetto" because i have a stock wing and stock wheels?

Bicycles > everything

Way more efficient, affordable, and economical.

Dan, I don't need the paint anymore. Thanks though.

Korn, no worries. A $579 Carbon Fiber Kaminari wing doesn't add inches to your ****.

Holy crap this place is another 2gn.

Its all good Korn. Some things look good while others don't. You get what I'm saying and I get what you are saying.

Why did you choose to put the cam right there instead of in the key hole on the trunk?

And up above....... Check blue book on an 05 SRT4. Won't be $6000 in any form.

Because I use that keywhole alot as with my wing it won't pop up on its own. And i don't like the remote fob button. What if the batteries die? Then I have no way of getting in my trunk.

But thanks marakka. Appriciate it.
