this is kinda long but help me out here
about 2 weeks ago or so i ordered a set of green cathodes and a set of pink cathodes for inside my car, green for under the dash, pink for under the seats, both transformers are hooked up to the same switch, switch is fused, and everything has been going fine until tonight so tonight im driving around going a few places with my inside cathodes on, all is well, then all of the sudden the pink cathodes turn off with the green ones still on, and i smell a burning smell, great so i pull into a neighborhood and check out the cathodes under the seat and the cathodes look fine, so i take the panel with the switches off (where the transformer is, underneath and in my center console) and thats where i think the smell was coming from. so my guess is that the pink transformer overheated ir was faulty, but only in 30 minutes? what do you think? any suggestions on what may have caused this? and do you think if i let oznium know they will send me out a replacement transformer? thats my guess on what happened |

Have you confirmed the transformer is not working, and the tubes still are? Did you have the power wire for that transformer fused at some point? Were there any burnt wires?

no it was too late tonight but i think tuesday we are taking it all apart to see whats going on,
and no there is no way to see if the tubes are still working right now, i dont have another transformer and also no i didnt know that you need the power wire from a switch to a transformer like 5 inches away fused, i DO however have the switch fused from the battery, that goes to that transformer, along with the other green transformer lastly from what i saw tonight there were no burnt wires, but again tuesday im taking everything all the way out and inspecting it all, ill get back to you on that anyone else? btw sick scion too, i want one of those |

You don't need to fuse anywhere else except in between the power source and the switch.
Wiring a cathode transformer is very basic - you either wired it backwards, or the transformer possibly fried out on its own. If you have even basic wiring knowledge, chances are it's the latter. Email cs@oznium.com with your order number, and tell them your transformer burnt out and you need a new one. They'll fix it right away. |

Sounds a lot like the transformer blew. Check that first, using the other working transformer you have.

^^ Do what Aken said. You'll get a much quicker response than talking to Phil. |
