i used the ashtray at first but the rest of my switches wouldn't fit in it and i didn't feel like cutting out the supports for the asktray

I also like the switch panel. I had something similar in my old wagon, but nothing as nicely done.

I have all of my switches out of sight, out of mind. Even if you knew I had neons and were trying to find the switches, it wouldn't be easy =P I have flat circle rocker switches that are mounted on the top part of a small compartment, facing down in the center console. Below the stereo and the temperature controls and such, there is a small space you can put things like sunglasses etc.. that's kind of deep.

If you reach your hand in there, palm facing up, and feel around, you'll find the 3 switches side by side that control the different parts.. =) One controls all of the LEDs in dash/door panel. One controls the floor board cathodes, and one controls the trunk lights/fans.

you can't tell my car has anything done to it when you're in it. no visible switches. everything is controlled by factory light switches, or the hidden switch box with the ribbon cable thing...

Sweet setup man.
You can see all my switches right now, but after I build the center console they will be hidden in there.
