Yea I've been skimming by for about 2 years. After sitting down and looking at it logically, it would take about 6 years just to get ahead. This was a tough decision and I have been trying anthing possible to avoid it, but finally gave in.

Sucks dude. Why not just sell one of your cars? Looks like you have owned some pretty high tag cars recently.

I have had to sit down and realize that I don't have as much cash as i used too as well. I have been lucky for trades and doing work for others that I have been able to get this glow and such I am getting now.

Hopefully it all works out dude.

I was upside down on the SRT when I traded it in for the truck. I am behind a couple payments on my truck my one HIGH balance credit card. I learned that car payments aren't for me, I miss my honda, and plan on getting another one.

dont feel alone...a lot of people are in the same boat you are in....I'm just skimming by at the moment as well.... I could give up the truck and gas if need be and save an extra 600+ a month or so....

Its just hard for a majority of people right now and has been for the last few years....hopefully whoever gets in office will turn the economy around.

i filed about 2 years ago.
i was about $10 on CC and $15k in dr. bills.

i think i filed chapter 7? its the complete liquidation of all assets.
wasn't bad for me since i didn't own anything when i started it.
no payments.
im still working to get my credit built back up.
as soon as i get my HHR paid off it should bump my credit up a lil better since i got it about midway thru my bankruptcy. thats been helpin alot.

but, good luck man

Yea it's chapter 7, and I don't own anything either, no kids, single. 3/4 of my paperwork was N/A, which was nice.

I read that these ford trucks depreciate lilke %40 after the first year. I still owe 22k on a truck I've had for 2 years starting at 23k.

It makes me sick to think about it. If I can get something cheap to last me through the winter I will be good. I miss my honda badly. icon_sad.gif

our trucks are depreciating more than that....with gas and the economy at what it is...the fully loaded 08's Lariat and FX4 that sell for 41-45K are going for 28-31K new....my 05 I purchased for 22,900 and it was worth 28K

Now I could probably get 17-18K if I was lucky, including all the mods. Luckily I only owe like 16,5 on it still.

^ I DOUBT you could get that much for it, the truck market sucks right now.

As for the OP, sucks you have to file that will be on your record for life.

I said lucky....I have to keep some hope even if I might be dreaming icon_redface.gif In honesty I think the most I could get right now would be around 10-12k
