So has anyone experimented with cutting up V1 inferno tubes to wire them to million color strips or anything of the like?

Does anyone know the data transfer and wire schematic of how the inferno V1 wires are broken down?

I hear of people cutting up ICE and V2 tubes (EDIT losing corrected me) I'm hoping someone has tried this.

Well, ICE has actually been around longer. I'll hack my broken V1 3 footer just to see whats going on and all these requests about V1 tubes.

Yea I just read Blazer97's thread on a similar type inquiry. some of us want ot see if we can play with cheaper components. And if not looks like I will be buying some ICE off people here in a months time.

I couldn't get mine to light up. It has six wires going to the tube (8, but the brown ones aren't connected) All I got was the smell of burning solder. So I just threw it away.
