I want to wire some leds to my domn light and a switch, so do i just wire the power for the switch and the domn light together or do i need a relay.

LEDs are so low current that unless you're using a LOT of them you should be able to hook it up directly.

One thing that might matter is that some dome lights are controlled by the ground rather than the power wire. Or that might just be the dimming that is controlled by the ground...I'm not sure.

ok thanks. I have another ? for putting leds in headlights or fog lights do you need pure silicone to hold them in or would adhesive caulk with silicone work too because i went to wal-mart and they didn't have any pure silicone so i got this thing called liquid nails and i hope it works. icon_confused.gif

i wouldnt use liquid nail if i were you....i use that work everyday so i know about it.....it will look very nasty when you do it because that stuff is like a light brown and when it gets hard its all crusty and nasty looking...you'll see big blobs of brown crusty stuff on your headlights....just get clear silicon from home depot or lowes

I agree with John (vice) 100%... besides looking like hell, the liquid nails is usually tougher to remove than silicone adhesive if you mess up. Also, I have found silicone adhesive at most auto parts stores down here. You would want to ask for "Permatex Clear RTV Silicone Adhesive Sealant". Permatex is just the brand name, so if it has another company's name on it don't worry about it too much. Here is a pic below, just because I know what its like looking for something that you have no idea what looks like icon_biggrin.gif hehe :
