So i recently purchased two dual 2 ohm alpine type rs that run at 500w rms a piece. Trying to stay a little low budget, so options are a little limited. What amp will be able to push these two subs to max potential?

Factors:
Preferably over 500w rms per sub
Cant take too much space.

That would be a huge steaming pile of ****, made to look like an amplifier...
Spend a little more now and get something nice, not spend less and wish you had something nicer.

you can cut spending on speakers and subs but not headunits, amps, and wiring

Get an Alpine PDX amp. They're such efficient amps that barely get hot compared to other amps.

Or u can get the boss which will probably overheat and possibly ruin ur car's electrical system...

I run a Cadence TXA mono amp on my 2 Alpines. Wired to 1 ohm it gives them 500 rms a piece (1000 @ 1 ohm)

If ya look around you can prolly get one cheap, I got mine for $150.

I got one. And LOVE it. Damn nice amp. Trust me man. Most have been down this road already. If you buy cheap odds are you are going to have to replace/upgrade in the end. Save up longer and get quality stuff.

I have wasted so much money not doing this. Trust me.

#1 I'm sure that amp gets hotter than a mofo. #2 his are dual 2 ohm voice coil...

Floridatony, found what for 270? If it's the Cadence amp, wtf is Cadence? Never heard of it? Neither have I. Should be enough evidence.

^^ Alot of people have heard of and use cadence. Just because you haven't heard of it doesn't mean anything icon_rolleyes.gif

Look up millionbuy.com.

They have a brand called volfenhag. Good price and my buddy ran one with two type R's in his 05 mustang. Was a nice system if you ask me. Then again all my **** is stock.

That's fine and all, but if u can give a reason excluding price why they are better amps than the PDXs then go ahead. Again, I'm sure they get hotter than the PDXs. Plus the one suggested still does not help that he needed a 2ohm , not 1ohm amp.
