I ahve had my wiring in for at least 3 months, now it took a crap on me. the fuse popped and i replaced it but it keeps popping. So i disconnected it to the amp and the replaced fuse and it gets power through the wire and works. but when i connect it back it pops. What could be wrong here.and my remote wire doesnt work anymore.

The fuse closest to the battery? Do u have a distribution block?

I was having a similar problem before. What I had to do was upgrade my front fuse to 100 amps and my distro block fuse to 60s.

WHAT! Fuse for WIRE SIZE, not load! Then you'll never have that problem and the potential for a fire later. I say this every time someone says they upgraded there fuse to a larger size. Do it right the first time so you don't **** it up later.

Blazer, did you disconnect the wire directly from the amp? Disconnect it from a distribution block? Any possibility of a short between where you disconnected it and where the amp is? Does it blow immediately after you connect it again or do you have to turn the key on?

Try disconnecting your remote wire and see if the main fuse blows. Maybe something has rubbed against it and that's causing it to short. It's hard to diagnose electrical problems online. icon_confused.gif

It's 2 gauge wiring, I'm not really that concerned.
