Is it worth the money ($224)? It looks really cool, but how reliable is it? how well does it stand up to water? How strong are the tubes? do they break easy like normal tubes sometimes do? Easy to install? AND MOST IMPORTANT: Does it turn some serious heads? icon_lol.gif

it is very reliable
it stand up very well to water. i live in a snowy rainy area and it hold up fine
tubes are very strong. someone said they drug their tube for a couple miles due to it falling off (improper installation) and it still was working.
no they do not break easily
very easy to install
you bet it turns heads

Good cause I'm bout to drop the money for some serious lighting I'm going for full U.F.O. look! And when cruise night comes I want people to stop staring at the old muscle cars and say "Damn! what the holy Moses is that?!" biglaugh.gif so now it's time to wait 2 weeks to buy it! can it act like a UB strobe light? wat are some of the cool patterns it can do? and I mean the sickest patterns!

no UB strobe.

7 normal colors, 7 ground colors, 10 multi color changes
- Million color and 42 multi-color combination changing
- 9-key super thin infrared remote control
- 10 normal display modes
- 10 speeds for normal display modes
- 10 music display modes
- Paused 'freeze frame' option
- Remote can select microphone or line-in music source
- 64 levels of music sensitivity
- Auto loop demo at power on
- Digital remote display
- Mode memory feature
- Demonstration mode

probably the sickest pattern is demo mode.

if you want something super sick and U.F.O. like i would go with the ICELED UFO 2 million color kit shown here http://www.oznium.com/ufo

It doesn't strobe :[
That's my only complain with it. There's a strobe-y feature, but you need to hold a certain button down, yellowf150 had a vid once but I forget what button.

Maybe it'd strobe kind of if you used the music mode on it and turned the bass up, I've never tried it.

Usually I stick with demo mode, where it goes through all the patterns and colors. Some of the multi color tube setups that it does have great crisp colors, I love it.

Edit: Ohhh ya beat me!!

thanx! But on cruise night it's a free night where the local and county cops allow underglow and all that on Main St. for a couple nights so that people can show off their stuff and not get busted

It isn't gong to blow up dude. If you have 2 audio imputs then both should work. If for some reason one is video and one is audio then plug it in the audio one.

It isn't a nuke. It is lights and a cd player. Either the lights won't go with the music. Or they will.

It uses a very strong tube yes. Obviously not indestructible but very tough compared to most kits out there. Same with my iceled ufo. I ran over it with my car once to see if it would hold. Yes I know running over a 300 dollar tube to see if it can take it lol.

Good luck finding anyone selling those 1 footers. They're pretty precious, I've got 4, they're worth it!

I smoked my Inferno onto a big rock about a year ago, and dragged it for a few hundred feet before I hit pavement and ralized it was dragging.. the plastic tube was busted in half and missing the end half, but the insides worked fine and I just hacked up an old underbody kit and JBwelded it up and it's been running strong ever since.

Not sure if it's just me, but both of my 4'ers on the sides got condensation in them.. might wanna wrap the ends or seal them just to make extra sure, since it's a pretty expensive kit. Never affected my performance, but something to keep an eye on.
