Footwell lighting for an 07 mustang? I'm doing it for my friend. She wanted a remote control switch so there won't be any drilling involved. I'm thinking either the 4.7" flex strips, or a pair of 4" cold cathodes would do... but I need to know how to reliably mount them. Anyone with a new 'stang that has footwell lighting please come forward and post pics of how you did it!

I would just use cable ties to mount the LED strips. If you are trying to get lots of brightness, then especially for dim colors like red for example, I'd recommend at least 9.5" or 19" LED strips.

By the way, did you ever get that Scion switch to light up? I remember it was causing you some trouble back in June.

Just use zip ties to mount them under the seat and under the dash

use 19" flex strips. They light up the mustang footwells pretty nice.

Nope could never figure out that switch. It still hasn't lit even though I re-did the whole footwell system recently (desoldered everything, replaced the connections with wire crimps, used an add-a-circuit instead of the cigarette lighter). I think the LED is just busted. If you guys had a blue light-up switch I'd order it pronto, but until then whatever, no big deal, lol.

My friend just got a new mustang convertible (it's NICE) and she wants pink footwell lighting. Do you think a pair of 9.5" flex strips would do the job?

I think my main question is, where would be the best place to hang the lights?
