I got my Inferno V2 kit about a month ago, and for the first 3 weeks it was fine, now I am starting to have problems with it. First my driver side tube stopped working, I tore apart my dash and reseated the wires to the brain, it worked again. hen the other side went out, again pulled apart the dash and reseated the wires, no problem. Now the rear tube is not working correctly, it turns on but is not getting any kind of data signal, it wont change colors, it wont turn off unless I cut the power to the conrol box, if I manage to get it to say one color, after about 2 mins it goes into the color change mode and does not stop. I got pulled over because it was changing color, the cop could ell I didn't do it on purpose so he let it slide, but I don't want to risk it again. I like my lights but if I can't drive with them on then why have them?I want to fix them so I dont have to keep them off anymore. Does anyone have any ideas?

It sounds like there's a loose connection at the brain. For the rear tube, I'd try "reseating" the wires again. If the rear tube still doesn't work, you can try plugging in the rear tube to another slot on the brain and see if that has any effect.

When you get it on a solid color, try turning it off and back on with the power button on the remote. It should save it to memory. If the kit loses a power connection before being saved to memory, it will automatically start the demo mode.

Why have them if you can't drive with them on? Because they look cool. Same reason people have $300,000 sports cars that go 200 mph, because they look cool icon_cool.gif

I would recommend trying what Phil mentions. If that doesn't work, then take the kit of the car and see if the problems can be replicated off the car If so, then contact CS and they will take care of you.

I had similar occurrences (I had one of the first kits) could not get thing fixed based off ideas from CS, so I sent it back and all is well now.

Thanks for the quick reply, I ried putting the rear tube on the extra port and it did the same thing. Even if I turn the brain off, the rear tube stays on, so I have 3 tubes off and the back still on and in demo mode. When I go to change the colors, all the other three change together but the back just stays on the demo. If I turn the brain off via remote, the dispaly reads "P" but the back is still on. So it seems like its not getting any info off the data wire, I reseated and even disconnected the wires from the wire harness and hooked them back up to that.

I know they look cool. But I'm only out when Im driving icon_confused.gif And I can't drive in demo mode in Ohio.

Also, if you haven't already hooked the power wire up to an on/off switch, I'd recommend it.

Alright after a bit more screwing around, I have discovered it does not matter which tube I place on the Rear, or AUX Port, both only do the color fade, neither turn off, or take any commands from the brain. I tried all four tubes in those ports and they all do the same thing. The rear tube in another port works fine. If I turn off the brain via remote, the tube in either of those ports stays on. If I cut the power at the kill switch, they go off. Any thoughts?

How much power runs through the data wire? I think if I just splice that data wire from the rear port off of say the front port, and still let it pull power from the Rear port it should be okay right? Or would that put to much draw on the front port?

Yep that'd be fine, go ahead and try that with the data wire.

Alright I screwed with them some more tonight and this is what I got. I ran the rear tube data wire off the front tube port. When I turned it on from the kill switch, it was still in the color fade mode. So the power is still from the rear tube port on the brain. It seems to me that the Rear Port is no longer being controlled from the brain but is just always on. Anyone have any suggestions?

Check with OZ customer service (or wait until someone sees your post), maybe they can help you out or you can send it to them.

Yeah... contact Oznium and see if they can help you out. Just be patient. Once you have your V2 up and running it'll be worth it.

That is what Oznium is good at. Making good products and you will never find 100% of the products come out of the factory 100% perfect but Oznium will always be there to fix it.

Glad you got it working. But I am sure it is illegal in at least 36 states to put the kit on and not show us pics! biglaugh.gif
