Don't do it.

Plus when I was a moderator all of us mods had a discussion on this. The reason we don't like/won't change names is becuase (this is just an example) say there is a member that is a known scammer. Then he gets his name changed. Now people don't know who it is and don't know he will screw with people. I am not saying you will do this just an example.

Plus people know you by that name and if you change it is just more hassel imo. Leave it. I don't think they will change it anyway. Put it this way Trogers got his changed. We now have a 120+ page thread because of it.

Any responsible web forum would take care of these members that screwed people OVER and OVER and OVER, here at oznium no body gives a ****.

I say remove the Classifieds section all together, nobody follows the rules to begin with and there is a select few that keep screwing people and they still aren't banned.

I think it is up to the buyers to use their own discretion who they buy from. If they look or seem suspicious, or have a bad history, I'm not buying from them. I've had over a dozen transactions on here with no problems.

You've been here long enough to know Sick-Wit-It is a crook though, lots members here haven't and the site brings in new members every day.

I find it funny that you say this, when even you didn't follow your own rules in the classified forum (or at least you didn't when you first posted).

I agree with you though that if a person continually scams, that the person should be removed. I know who you guys are referring to, but I personally only know of this happening once.

I like how this forum says "Anything Goes"

yet... it should read "Anything Goes That We Deem Valid, Fair, and Doesn't Actually Allow Any Negative Outlook On The Company In Any Way Said Here Within And All Posts That Are Used For The Discretion Of Finding Truth And Resolution We Will Delete."

Simply put, certain individuals have used these forums to take advantage of SEVERAL members and then the mods stand by and say "Oh we shouldn't get involved it is not our place."

Your a moderator are you not? Get involved and resolve the situation with the quickness rather than letting it drag out. In my eyes you condone such behavior and shelter it... Thus allowing it to happen not once, not twice, maybe even three times.

When would you step in to moderate the situation? When it directly affects you? Apparently not when it is a member, I have clearly seen this.

Oh boy here we go again. Fact of a matter is there is a line. Just because it says anything goes doesn't mean you can go and post **** all over the thread. If we think it could hurt the image of the company we will/can delete it. Be happy the forums are here. The forum itself is good imo. the one admin(not phil) and the way things are carried on for trouble makers is NOT. But I have beaten that one with a stick countless times with him and he never budged(all the mods did).

I say this all the time though. And people still ***** and moan. If you don't like it. That little "x" at the top corner will make it all go away. icon_rolleyes.gif

Yes there is a line and "posts" may be deleted when need be but a whole thread because it is at who discretion?

If your deleting the thread because it would hurt the image of the company, maybe what the thread contains or the posting/abusing member should be dealt with? Deleting the thread won't make a problem go away.

Moderate the problem.

Honestly, I do believe that all it takes is ONE thing to ruin something. That one that could ruin A LOT for many...

Why would someone sit by and allow things to constantly happen?

You're mad about your ribbon strip thread getting deleted three times. Don't bring your sour attitude here. You should resolve the problem IN PRIVATE. We don't need two people bickering over a sale in a public thread.

Exactly. Really bro. I am sorry you feel that way. And yes imo there are things that need to be worked on. But that is not one of them.

You are not going to win that one with me. Sorry.

No I am sour about the WHOLE idea of moderators and how they don't resolve a situation that will if it has not become rampant.

They turn the cheek to things that occur rather than finding a resolution.

Ok here it is. It is not ozniums responsibility to make sure you get your product bought from anybody that isn't oznium in it self. We are sorry it happened but that is not something we want to get in the middle of. It could result in bad situations for the company when we have no part in it. So we just stay out of it. It clearly states buy at your own risk. It is not OUR situation. it is not OUR responsibility. It is yours.

if you wanted a 100% guarantee that your product would show up at your door and in complete working order, you should have ordered it straight from oznium.

same goes with any other company versus buying used

but anyway, back on topic...

i think changing a screen name is just as confusing to the other members as changing a sig is

for example, if i see a post with a blue and white gsxr with a dark background as a sig, i automatically know its pork. if i see a sig with 3 specific trucks in it, i know its knox.. but if one of them were to completely change their sig to something different, it confuses the hell outta me everytime haha

just my 2 cents

^ Huh?

Dan, the classifieds section needs to be deleted. Very few people use it correctly, and there are 2 or 3 members here now that take advantage of people time and time again and nothing gets done about it because " Oznium is not liable. "

HID's are illegal to sell when you know they will be used illegally, and the ONLY reason Phil stopped selling them is cause he got caught. If he got **** in the classifieds section, that person would be gone. That isn't right, if the Classifieds section isn't going to be moderated AT ALL then DELETE IT. Having a people get scammed once is one thing, over and over and over is pathetic regardless of who is at fault if it could be prevented by BANNING those doing such.

I honestly agree with you 100% there P0rk.

Like I said I fought quite a few times about this. All of the mods did. But the Admin didn't do anything about it. Just came up with some rambo jambo.

After recent incidents rules regarding that forum have been discussed and points have been made. Ultimately it is up to Phil to take action as he owns the site. A consensus on issues was thoughtout by moderators and hopefully the section will go smoother from now on.

Ultimately the forum is a used forum. Unless it is being used for illegal fraudulant activity the sales are private and all items are sold "As Is" just like anything used that you buy. If the product is mis-represented though the buyer is entitled to their money back but again, this is between the buyer and seller. There is always risk involved when purchasing used goods.

As for the topic title of changing your SN; no, we will not be changing names and this was discussed among mods a few weeks back. You are entitled to create a new account if you wish to change your SN.
