Cool effect with the white LEDs. What are they mounted to? Waterproof?

MedXLT,

Did you fit those 'halo' CCFLs in the fog lamp housing yourself? I suppose you opened the foglamps right? Was it difficult to mount and wire them?

Thanks

Yea, put them in myself. Saw your other posts and it looks like you already know the technique to get into the headlamp. Fogs should be fairly similar, baking the houing, etc. Disconnected the fog bulbs and connected them to the fog socket so wiring wasn't bad. Here's an old post about them: http://www.oznium.com/forum/topic13814

They're mounted to a plastic cover that is removed if you want to install tow hooks up front. They're the Oz superflux 4-chip LEDs so yea, they're waterproof.

Just took out the plastic piece, drilled small pilot holes, then 3/8" holes. Fed the LEDs in wire first from the front and epoxied them from the back. They're wired to my halos so they come on at the same time.

Thanks, wish I could afford some rims... Tires were cheaper, so just went with bigger tires on the stock rims...

Looks good now take care of the headlights. Projectors or E-Code are the only way to do so.

Workin on it... My truck is stock height and I aimed the headlights a couple inches down. The cutoff with the stock housings are surprisingly sharp as you can see in the last pic I posted with the reverse lights. Have yet to be flashed and roads around here are well lit to begin with, not dark backroads where the glare would be more bothersome.
