My friend was saying that he thinks he could get a good deal on Ebay. To be honest, I dont want to be the tester if I decided to buy one off it.

Has anyone had any past experiences, or stories of buying a car off ebay? If so, share. I need somehting to read while i am at school tomorow.

My friend has sold 3 personal cars and now sells a bunch of cars on ebay. So from the sellers point of view he's been great. I do know that he up-bids his own listings though.

I wouldn't. Before I buy a car I have to look it over and drive it. There's no way I would buy a car w/out ever seeing it in person.

I don't buy anything off ebay. It seems like it's just a scammers paradise. I would rather pay a little extra and know I'll get my products than pay a bit less and take the gamble.

Now, if the ebay seller was close and you could look at the car first then I would.

my dad deals with ebay a lot..
he has been doing his mustang resto project shopping on there..

just recently he found exactly what he wanted in surprisingly good condition.
just be aware and know what you are bidding on
only go for auctions where the seller shows you every little detail- rust spots, dings, scratches.. they tend to be more honest then the 'runs and drives, need minor TLC' people

It's not like if you win the auction you HAVE to take the car without ever seeing it. You always have the option to look at it and drive it before completing the payment.

I've bought but within a reasonable distance , and every seller I bought off of let me drive over and check out the car some even let me test drive it before the auction was ending ... The only guy that didn't seemed like a tool/scammer ,saw the same vehicle relisted 8 times "buyer backed out" I'm betting buyer saw what a piece of junk and refused to go on with it ... icon_lol.gif

If the deal seems to good to be true.... it probably is, especially on ebay.

However there are a lot of respectable people and dealerships that put vehicles for sale on ebay very often.

Just be vigilant!!! >:O

My cousin got this car off ebay.

Everything was good, until the transmission literally fell out.
Mechanic said no way he did it, tranny was done for a long time.
So if you do buy a car off ebay, have someone look at all aspects..
Not just if it looks in good shape.

**And of course thats my cousins in the car, not me haha.

Did you know that the term rice was originally used by people using it as another term for a foreign car. It had nothing to do with putting wings and things or anything on a car. Just straight up cars from countries outside the US.

Guess where you car came from.

My car is all OEM baby, so the way that "rice" is used now-a-days, doesn't pertain to my car.

On the other hand, with that aircraft wing, and that aerodynamic body kit of yours brings me to my next point.....

OEM or modded out the term rice originated because foreign cars came from Japan or China. Rice crops are known from those countries. Hence, ricer.

And I say I am rice all the time. I could care less. The term doesn't mean anything to me anyway. It is a domestic car as well. So for my car it would just be "Untastefully modified" icon_wink.gif

I've sold a few Motocross bikes on Ebay, to people who bought sight-unseen, put a deposit down, and paid the rest in cash when we'd meet to sell it.

I dunno that I would, but many people do, with no serious problems.
