Linky

The GT-R posted a 7.29 lap time at the Nurburgring a few months ago and it was only topped by the ZR1 Vette. Anyways, porsche didn't believe them, bought their own GT-R and tested it and don't see how it's possible.

The article speaks what needs to be spoken. Cool car yes. But you just got OWNED son!

I read that awhile ago and the Porsche driver couldn't get withing 25 seconds of the time Nissan posted. Porsche's driver was an expert at the ring so I doubt driver accounts for 25 seconds.

25 seconds or 25 minutes.... Think you got the numbers backwards...

Plus porsche knew the numbers were false thats hy they did want to pay their normal Nb Driver...

Yeah seconds, I got it right. If they couldn't get within 25 minutes, that would mean they couldn't get around the ring in under 30 minutes in the GTR. icon_rolleyes.gif

I think you got your brain on backwards. icon_confused.gif

I could get around the ring in under 30 minutes in my **** focus.... icon_confused.gif

It's a good time but that car will be **** when its out of warranty. Because the smallest hiccup you just lost a kidney paying to fix it.

I'll stick with an older one where it's easier to do. I hate all this spaceship ****. It's an amazing machine but it's just not what it used to be.

Oh BTW completely unrelated. But GM's cobalt they built bested a 800hp skyline in time attack. With more work that car could tear that GT-R a completely new ass.

It is what an 60k car? Quite frankly if you can afford a car of that caliber you can afford to get it fixed if it breaks.

But I do agree I am not fond of computers running the entire car. Mechanical > Electrical imo. Backyard mechanics ftw!

Another example of Nissan boning GTR buyers and under-designing there transmissions....

My dad's friend who had the GTR already got rid of it, he didn't like it at all. Compared to vehicles he had owned in the past, like the Porsche GT3, it just didn't handle on the track like he thought it would.
