When I installed the dome light, i set the light to door mode, but when my doors are closed it still glows faintly! Any help?

It's not a problem with the product. It means there is some current going to the dome light even when the doors are closed. It isn't apparent with most normal dome light bulbs as they take a higher voltage to produce light.
Nothing you can really do about it without adding additional hardware to regulate the voltage. Last edited by Aken on Thu Oct 02, 2008 10:32 pm, edited 1 time in total |

you can use a relay to solve that problem if it becomes really annoying.

ya my old 94 civic had the same issue. i just slaped the stock bulb back in it. i was using a simple led dome light bulb.
i dont have that problem on my 99 or 96 civic tho. odd. i was just gonna modify the wiring to the bulb the dome light is a very simple device... just needs power from the fuse box FUSED OF COURSE.... and a ground trigger device (door pin switches) to activate the lights. very simple really... tho i never tried it since i sold the car shortly after i found that issue out. |

I'm assuming you drive an xB from your user name. If thats the case, I know of another guy who has this issue on his 1st gen xB with the Oznium dome.

it shouldnt cause any harm unless you let your car sit for months at a time without driving it

i wouldn't risk it... just leave it in the off position untill you can get it fixed, whatever the problem may be.
