Hi, I'm a newbie and am looking for some clarification on wiring LED flex strips to my trunk light.....

If I'm not mistaken, there are 2 wires that run to the dimming trunk light, which would be a positive and a negative... do I simply tap the positive and negative of the flexstrip into the corresponding 2 wires of the light?... or do I need to locate which wire to the light is positive and locate another grounding source in the trunk for the flex strip?

Also curious if anyone know the color coding of the trunk light wires in the 06 Scion TC, I need to know which wire is the positive??

thanks in advance...

Even if you get it wrong nothing bad will happen. The lights just wont come on.
If they don't work, then you know you got it backwards.... swap it accordingly.

Be careful when doing this however. If you tap too many strips in, you run the possibility of over-loading the circuit. The dome-lights/trunk lights run on a 7.5 amp fuse, so you should be good if you are only using a few strips.

There are brown and white wires running into the light in the trunk. If I'm not mistaken, white in positive, brown is negative. Don't quote me on that though.
