I wanna give my car a mean sound

Any recommendations to make my car sound meaner?

Exhaust changes ect...

Put a barking dog in the back seat.

umm well, it depends on what ride you put it in. If you put a loud exhaust on the eclipse you look like a ricer. Unless your engine is actually a beast, a loud muffler sounds stupid and frankly its annoying. The muffler change where u "reduce" flow is actually detrimental to your engine and reduces your low end torque. It is a positive upgrade if you have done more engine work like increase your cylinder size or added a turbo/sc.

a WAI (warm air intake) can actually give your engine a more beastly sound. Good thing is, it actually sounds appropriate to the engine. Def a meaner sound.

Seriously though the two easiest things to do would be intake and exhaust. These will be the easiest things to do that will make a big difference.

Use triple A's instead of Double a's. Then it won't get as much power going to it.

just do an intake, that would be your best bet. A pop charger would be good, this is when u just put a cone on after the air resevoir, itll keep ur low end toque and give it a better, meaner sound, or shoul atleast, plus itll let it breathe a bit easier

Get Flowmaster 40's, a CAI, posted polished headers, intake, and heads, and a more aggressive cam. It'll be more mean.

i have a olds cutlass ciera with a 3.3 and its has no muffler and holes in the exhaust piping it sounds pretty mean

intake, deffinately brings the pitch of the car's engine down, and it's normal sound when your driving but when you really punch the gas sounds alot better. other wise i would go with flowmaster 40's if you want it all around louder.

IDK if you have a 3.8 in yours, but I put Thrush welded mufflers on my Monte. They're designed like flowmasters. It's a louder than stock, but not loud that you will wake your neighbors up. It sounds good IMO, I'll get a vid tomorow if you wanna here them.

If you have a V6 get a H-pipe. Changing the tubing diameter by as much as a 1/4" can really change your exhaust tone.

Will this change my gas mileage? and about how much will this cost me?

i put a whistle tip on my car, it makes it go whooo whooo and with the muffler i have it sounds awsome and the whoo whoo makes it even better. everyone notices me and i can get pulled over by the cops easier.

i think i am going to change out the whistle tip for one that makes the car sound like it has a turbocharger on it.
