Wow. I was hoping and hoping and hoping that someday there would be a Sonic in WI. I always see ads on DirecTV channels, and want to indulge..

Well... On my way home today, I saw they tore down Rusty's - a town icon bar of sorts I guess, but it meant nothing to me.

Did some Googling, and guess what's going to replace it! WAHOOOOO!!11

Anyone else enjoy Sonic? Never been there... YET.

BTW: Check with them for there happy hour 3-6pm(?) Drinks half off (Fountain, Slush, but not shakes).

I get the sonic burger, tots, and banana/strawberry slush. Sonic not only has good food, but its also an awesome hangout spot since you can all part together and get your grub on. The car club I'm in meets there every month or two. There breakfast sandwiches are kick ass too.

I've somehow never eaten at a sonic. And I used to live a block away from one.

Every tuesday night after softball games, the whole team goes to sonic for dinner.

The best thing on the menu is the Chili Pie!!!

They are supposed to put a bunch in milwaukee. I can't wait. I am a huge slushy fan so I will spend more money on drinks than food probably.

super sonic?! ballin! what is it just more drive-in spots?

anyways i like it but the quality is about the same of a McDonalds or BK, just a tiny bit better tasting and a more "american" selection. I like the chicken strip dinner icon_biggrin.gif

Over-rated . I made an epic road trip search for Sonic once with my girlfriend and was thoroughly let down when the food didn't live up to the hype . Its your basic burger-place fare . Not bad, but not worth half a tank of gas and hours of searching . icon_cry.gif

They're over-rated because you drove 200 mi. to eat i? Your fault, but atleast you got a story out of it.

They opened a Wendy's in my city and there was a police detail for 10 days directing traffic due to the massive amount of tools pouring out to get square burgers.

I don't understand people who drool over food that is prepared in less than 1 minute. I do eat fast food but never have been blown away. I have pretty much hit all of the chains up.

I dig Wendy's.. its always hot and its ready in a flash . Wish the quality of the beef was better though.. it ain't exactly sirloin . icon_confused.gif

What about In 'N Out Burger ? That's the chain around here (Southern California) that everyone speaks about like it serves orgasms on a sesame seed bun .

I had in and out burger. The people I went with stole like 500 straws from the condiment island. Still not amazed by the food.

Pay 2 bucks more and you can sit down somewhere and have the food served on a plate.

See the commercials all the time but dont believe there are any "Sonic's" anywhere close to my residence or work. I've heard the food is pretty good, but then again I try not to eat anything that is served to me thru a window.

They bring it out to you, you park, place your oder and the car hop bring it out.. Somtimes on roller skates! =)

But I understand what you mean about the window, just thought i'd clear it up for you since you dont have a sonic and might not know hows its done there.

Oh ok...we have something called Burgermaster around here. They do the same thing with the window tray on your vehicle etc. Nice for drive in similar to the old school theaters and cafe's etc.

Yea, We have a joint called "Chuck-A-Burger" They have been hosting car cruizes since 55. They have a few big car shows a year and its awesome. During the summer you pull up, flash your lights and a Carhop wearing vintage uniforms from the 50-60's era comes out on roller skates and takes your order... Its awesome food and its cheap! They even have oldies playing over a few speakers around the outside.... Its a great experience
