Do you own one? Have any advice for someone thinking about getting one? I have a roof rack, but never use it. I'd like to pick up a lowrider to take with me to shows and to cruise the hood.

wow. Thats amazing. I was looking at this one:

http://fortwayne.craigslist.org/bik/822700946.html

I don't want to do the gold / chrome thing. I also don't want to spend more than $200. I would most likely paint the body to match my car.

hahah yea i see tim's point.. I'd say if you want a really slick setup, build your own! atomiczombie.com has some great bike building books.

If you're serious about it i'd say a custom might be your best bet... if you're a good scavenger you really wouldn't have to pay for much

Well whatever you decide to do...if you can atleast try to build most of it,if not all of the bike yourself. icon_cool.gif

def build it yourself. i grew up in texas when i was younger so i pieced one together when i was 12. I got a bunch of old schwin bike parts from a junkyard actually see as I was a poor kid but the bike resembled the craigslist bike up above. I loved it.
