Turned out really good man! Like it much better than the clears... it matches now ;)

Has anyone tried wet sanding the nightshade stuff and making it really smooth like glass yet? Just an idea so it would be glossy looking..

Man dude the bumper kit would look sick... got any ideas on which one you want to go with? Will the ecc kit match the same style you have?

^that does work, it is just basically a paint, did it on a del-slow in dayton a while back. he fx'ed up on layers and had a run mark so we just wetsanded it down, almost looks like the lens is tinted lexan.

the roll pan, they really only make one for the blazer. hold on....

User posted image

they have one to match the Xtreme skirts and body lines yes. I wetsanded between coats, however I have not done a clear coat yet. that is the key I believe to getting the high gloss.

put a good thick coat on and then wet sand with 1.5k/2k/3k thats how I would roll on it letting all three pieces soak for about 25~35 minutes... and I use a spray bottle...

Just wetsand the final coat... some say 3k is a waste but it works really good for a glossy shine...

follow up with a good thick of clear and wet sand it too... would turn out like GLASS...

I have some at home waiting for my return. I'm going to do my tails, headlights, and courtesy lights like that when I get the time.

I did...the key is in the clear coat for the glass finish. It really pays to use an expensive clear or have a shop spray clear coat over the lens...you can look at my mustang ones that I did and had cleared.

Side note for the VHT and any cover that is placed on a lens which restricts light. They are illegal in most states and could land you a moving violation cite. Also note that if you are rear ended you will be found at fault if the insurance company can prove that your lighting device was pertinent to the crash. In this case brake lights not being properly visible would come into play if rear ended. I took them off my truck for this very reason.

Not really a fan of that look on your ride,it's too dark and without being glossy...looks only half finished icon_confused.gif I really think stock tails look much better. icon_cool.gif

I used spray can clear and my niteshading turned out great. A lot of sanding with 2k grit, but well worth it in the end.

same product you used and sprayed by me but this one was cleared by a body shop. Was only $60 locally but big difference in final look. Once you clear it they will look much better and be protected from the chipping/flaking VHT is known to have when not protected with a clear coat

User posted image

They are illegal as **** pretty much everywhere but I truly havent been stopped yet and had cops right on my bumper for miles, not flashing lights. As for seeing through it. Yeah, you can get it pretty dark but mine are almost too dark and the light is still fine. I put this together for others who did or wanted to do nightshade to see the differences and also the sequencer for mustang guys to see different kinds of kits

Area51 - that is some sick work and I will have to have the body chop clear my tails while I get my roll pan painted.

Pork - I am thinking a modest static drop of 2/3 to close the wheel well gap and level her out. I kinda like the height cause I dont have to worry about smacking the front air dam on any curbs. In your s-series truck expertise what would you say?

If you go 2-3, you might as well go 3-4. If I remember correctly, the Blazer X comes with a 1.5" lowering coil in front from the factory. Go with a 2" drop Spindle up front ( total of 3.5" with the 1.5" drop coil ) and a 2" Block in the rear. I am pretty sure they come with 1.5" drop leafs in the rear, same as the zq8 optioned trucks. This would give a 3.5/4.5 drop, and it would look **** :)

I would suggest using Belltech products.

yea the xtreme's used the same lowering coil and leafs just as the ZQ8's. And Yea I was thinking 2 more inches in front, but going 3 in the rear to level out the blazer. Beltech, that much I had no idea about.

*runs to google and s10forums to do research*

thanks pOrk.
