I have the Flow Blaze 7 Color Kit installed under my car and I also did my homework by looking up which light are illegal and its only blue and flashing lights. The other night, I had the white option lighting on and some douche bag cop pulls me over while I'm doing my job at delivering food. He gives me a ticket because he thinks that the lights are blue when they are really white. Then I show him the blue light option on the kit and he still said that the white light option is still blue. So he asks for my license and makes me wait for about 10 - 15 minutes while the food is still sitting in my car. Then he comes back, gives me a ticket even though a warning could have been more appropriate because I did tell him that I had food to deliver.

After delivering the food, I hurried back to the restaurant and delivered more food. By the end of the night, my boss came to me and said that I was fired because he received a complaint from a customer saying that their food arrived late and that it was cold. I tried explaining to my boss but he wouldn't accept my excuse and so I went home that night without a job.

Now I'm planning on going to court in a month from now and try to get out of paying the fine because I don't have that much money to spend on a ridiculous ticket; especially getting fired because of that douche bag cop. I still have car payments ($600/month), books to buy for each semester at college ($700/semester), and the one thing everyone is struggling with, gas ($200/month). Even after all of this I still have to add in living expenses ($100/month) and car insurance ($800/6 months). If there is anyone who can give me some advice and help on how to approach this in court, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

Be nice and apologetic. Take the kit off and take pictures. Tell them you removed it to avoid any more issues in the future and show them the pics.

On another note, WTF do you drive where you have car payments that are $600/month and insurance that's over $100/month.

First I would check your attitude regarding the officer.

He was simply doing his job and stopped you for having lights on your vehicle. It is up to his/her discretion to determine the color of the lights. If you dont want the possiblity of recieving a cite for them I would suggest not using them on public roadways. What state are you in so that I can check your municipal codes referring to your lighting laws?

Only advise I can offer you is to go to court, state your opinion in the matter and leave it up to the judge to decide the outcome. It's not the officers fault that you decided to use the lights on a public roadway and was stopped and questioned regarding them. They are an attenion grabber and probably shouldn't be used in the course of your employment while on the clock.

Hope everything works out for you.

Insurance on my neon is 120 a month. Age is a big factor man.

Sucks. Next time try keeping a copy of the laws in your car.

Then either you have alot of tickets and accidents or you should have immediately walked out. Because that is ridiculous.

Im paying 125 a month for insurance on 4 cars one of which is a Sport Bike. 2 full/2 liibiity. (full on bike and ram) im 22 and I own my own home which factors in since my house insurance is though the same company but even before my house I was paying 80 a month for my bike and a camaro... Shop around there are deals out there you just gotta find them.

My insurance is though Country, not a big big company but not a fly by night company who deals with SR-22's on the daily.

GL with court.

Oh my Caprice.. that's hefty. Mine $120 for full coverage, collision and junk.

Sounds like an extremely BS situation, man. The cop was being over-anal about it, ESPECIALLY after you showed him that there was an obvious difference between the two color options.. I guess go Green next time! And the boss was being absolutely over boundaries firing you because of a situation that was out of your control. Hopefully karma shuts down his lame little food shop.

Best of luck fighting it in court, next time you see mr occifer make sure you have your green lights on and give him a hearty wave. Lol, sure can't confuse green with blue unless your a dang idiot.. well wait a second.

Bla, hope the city doesn't pirate your money man.

I got pulled over for having yellow on. In PA, every color is illegal. He kept saying "Those green lights" I didn't feel like argueing and showing him they are yellow by showing him green. And I just got a ticket icon_cool.gif

For those who wonder why gas costs $200 a month for me, its because I drive an hour to and from school twice a week. Then I deliver food three times a week for 12 hours a day. On the other two days, I drive to certain places around the metro Atlanta area installing or fixing heating and cooling. I almost forgot to mention that I drive a 2009 Camry SE with 21 and 31 mpg. You guys can check it out in my profile.

I still don't understand WHY someone would think this is a logical idea...highly flamable fuel, drill bit (metal), fuel tank (metal)....what happens when you have metal to metal contact? Heat and possible spark which could ignite fumes/fuel.

I was only paying $350 for 6 months ($58/month) on my '95 Ford Taurus (liability only). I also got a 2009 Camry SE and my insurance went up to $780 for 6 months ($130/month) for both cars. Full coverage only on my Camry.

Drivers age, how new the car is and how long you have been driving under insurance and how many miles you drive per year is a factor.

Yet you will never beat the stereotype.

The classes I take are mostly with people who want to be Social workers at this point in my college days and it seems that any one who thinks people should be incarnated are heartless Rodney King beating monsters.

Social Workers (MSW) is a job I could never do. Horrible hours, horrible pay and not exactly the friendliest crowd. The only time MSW's are actually appreciated is when other nursing staff have no idea how to treat a psych/SI/CC patient. Having seen a lot of these issues first hand there is a clear reason people need to be detained. It's not punishment, its to help these people and their families for their illnesses. Just like if you broke your leg/arm etc you would go to a hospital. They need to as well to get better, just a different hospital. I have personally seen HUGE differences in people who are on psychological medications vs when the same people are off of them; it's night and day.
