The other night, I had the white option lighting on and some douche bag cop pulls me over while I'm doing my job at delivering food. He gives me a ticket because he thinks that the lights are blue when they are really white. Then I show him the blue light option on the kit and he still said that the white light option is still blue. So he asks for my license and makes me wait for about 10 - 15 minutes while the food is still sitting in my car. Then he comes back, gives me a ticket even though a warning could have been more appropriate because I did tell him that I had food to deliver.

After delivering the food, I hurried back to the restaurant and delivered more food. By the end of the night, my boss came to me and said that I was fired because he received a complaint from a customer saying that their food arrived late and that it was cold. I tried explaining to my boss but he wouldn't accept my excuse and so I went home that night without a job.

Now I'm planning on going to court in a month from now and try to get out of paying the fine because I don't have that much money to spend on a ridiculous ticket; especially getting fired because of that douche bag cop. I still have car payments ($600/month), books to buy for each semester at college ($700/semester), and the one thing everyone is struggling with, gas ($200/month). Even after all of this I still have to add in living expenses ($100/month) and car insurance ($800/6 months). If there is anyone who can give me some advice and help on how to approach this in court, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

All I have to say is that I think you're full of ****, and something in your story doesn't quite add up. If you got pulled over for having your UB white while you were driving, then why in the hell would you create another thread, AFTER you got pulled over with your supposed "white lights", asking for pictures of cars with white UBs and whether or not they think it would look good on your car?

http://www.oznium.com/forum/topic19209#301340

If your car actually had the UB white, then why were you wondering if it would look good? Could you not go outside and turn them on and see for yourself? Or are you full of ****, and trying to weasel your way out of a ticket that you deserve?

Your age, how long you have been under insurance and driving record is a factor in how much you pay. Insurance companies dont care how long you had your license. Insurance companies goes by how many years you drove (under insurance) and not how long you had your drivers license. You can take the road test, pass it and never drove. People do that and only use it as an ID card.

When I first started driving, my dad wanted me to get my own insurance under my own name. All insurance companies wanted $2000/6 months. Since that was wayyyy to expensive, my dad finally put me under his. I paid him $600/6 months. After 2 years, I branched off his account and got my own (GEICO). I had a 1995 Ford Taurus and started paying about $450/6 months and went down to about $350/6 months as times passed. This was only for liability. Now that I bought my new car, my premium went from $350 or so to $780. I still have the Taurus under my insurance as well as my Camry. Taurus still has liability but since the Camry is brand new, I have full coverage.

I suggest taking defensive driving. This will lower your rate as well. I get a discount for have a good driving record.

I've gotten tickets such as speeding, double parking, failure to stop at a stop sign, failure to signal, etc. My premium has never gone up. Get into an accident and thats a different story.
