I have been debating on what kind of subwoofer to get and I have decided the Rockford Fosgate HX2 might fit the bill. However one of my problems is what size to get, the 2 10's, 2 12's, or one 15 (doubt I could fit in two 15's). The amp that will be powering them will be a Rockford Fosgate Power bd1500.1 (so were talking 1500 watts for people that don't know). So that would be 750 watts on each for two 10's or 12's. Or I could set 1500 watts on one 15. This setup will be going in the trunk of a vert so I will be lacking in room so I think I will able to serve the one 15 the best since it would get all my trunk. But I'm not sure. Can anyone give me any suggestions on what I should do? I know the 10's and 12's don't need as much air but then again their will be 2 of them. I was also worried if I did the single 15 inch setup that the amp would be putting out to much power. But I heard to HX2's are power hungry and it should be able to take it with no problem.

Thanks for the help,

Chris

If you're gonna go high end 15s, don't get Rockford. DD, Elemental Designs, Treo, etc.. are a better fit.

You can get decent subs for just as much as that Rockford - "I'm not rich" is a dumb reason.

And what are you talking about with SQ in the trunk.

2 10's on sounddomain is almost 400. You can get a treo or DD or eD for under 400.

And you can't run 1 15 power on a RF amp. Powers are 2/2 and the amp is only 2 ohm stable.

he could run the 15 inch at 4ohms if he wired it in series, but he'd only be running the amp at 750wRMS if he ran at 4 ohms...

Not sure the price of the subs. The HX2's I'm looking at ones on sale.

but then that's a waste of a 1500 watt amp
