So I wanna add alot more lighting to my interior/exterior and want it to come from one power source, using the "add a line" through the fuse box in my interior. Can anyone hook me up with some advice?

quite simple. Run an 8 guage wire from the battery to a distribution block. But a relay before the dist block and use the add a circuit as the trigger. That way all of the lights running from the dist block will turn on when you want them and you can have like 30 amps worht of power flowing through the relay.

Hi there, I want to tell you about my current setup:
My setup was done and will be explained with Cold Cathodes. However this was before Oznium had Flexible LED Strips, which I would have used if Oznium had them back then, so personally I would choose Flexible LED Strips as you do not need to worry about transformers http://www.oznium.com/led-flex-strips Items you would need to purchase to complete this are: 3 Cold Cathode sets: http://www.oznium.com/cathode-kit, 1 additional transformer: http://www.oznium.com/cathode-transformer My setup has a set under each seat, driver and passenger. One tube towards the front of the seat and one towards the back of the seat. So that is 2 sets right there, each set coming with 2 cathode tubes and a transformer. I use 2 more cathode tubes and 2 transformers for the dash. I have one under the steering wheel and one under the passenger glove box area. Unfortunately the wire from the cathode to the transformer cannot be lengthened and this is why I use a second transformer, one under each portion of the dash. My reason for using tubes under the dash and seat is to provide full coverage of the floor, so if someone gets into my car there will be no shadow from their feet because there is light coming from the front and back of them. The link below is a picture of the glow in my car:
In that picture there is some ceiling glow used with Cold Cathodes, today I would use our LED Modules for roof glow http://www.oznium.com/led-modules LED MODULES From there you will need to run power and ground wires to the transformers. You will want to wire them to one switch so you can turn your lights on and off at your disposal, from there you will want to take your power wire to a fuse in your car. Here you can use something like the dome light or cigarette lighter wiring. Take your ground to any solid grounding point on your car. |
