Generally speaking, you can take pictures of whatever you want. There are certain areas that are posted as no video/photography areas though. And of course, there is the possibility of getting in trouble (non-judicial punishment, etc.) for photographing certain things, and distributing those pictures (i.e. posting them on the internet). I try to share the pictures of mine that can't be twisted or interpreted in a negative manner. The rest... I keep for friends, family, and myself.

Or IED emplacers that had blown their own hands off. With my new job, there are a lot of techniques, tools, and methods that are classified, so picture taking is a very touchy subject. |

Glad you like that picture! I took that a little over a year ago at the waterfront in portland, Oregon. I tried to get a wider shot of the whole thing, but a guy eating a sandwich simply would not budge so i could get a nicer shot. I'm suprised to see that picture posted anywhere else since the only place I've posted it on was the [H]ardForum site.
