Here is my idea:
I want to install white CCFL's under my dash to light up where my mats and pedals are etc both driver and passenger. But I want to make them only come on when the door is open and go off when the door is closed. How can I do that? I already have the CCFL's from you guys I just need to know how i can make that happen Thanks in advance EDIT: I have a 07 Dodge Magnum SE |

search = win.
but i would just tie it into the dome light.. find out which wire is powered by the doors opening and tie into that |

you could get a door pin switch also. thats exactly how the it works.. open the door switch is on position and when closed would put it in the off position.
http://www.oznium.com/pin-switch some1 told me not to use these cause they're appearently not that great. haven't done a project myself that would require using 1. wire into the dome light if you can would be the easiest way. |

Do you have lights down by your pedals under the dash that come on when the doors open? If so I'd tap into them that way they come on whenever any door opens up. I beleave if you tap into the doorpin the lights will only turn on when that door is open but I may be wrong.

I have a similar question...
When I hit the unlock button on my keyless entry the dome light comes on and outside lights flash twice. I want my blaze kit to light up when I unlock my truck. So pretty much wired into the dome light. Im not to good with wires but I know enough to get the job done. First off all, is this even possible? Thanks! |

blaze kit has an ecu, so it would be very complicated for the average guy.
where-as if it were just the beefy underbody kit, it would work like how cyberknight(IIRC) did it |

So should I not even worry about it? I really want it unless its so complicated, I might screw up the wires on my kit?

i wouldn't try it. i have no clue on how you would do it. and some of the advanced LED people here might not.. or it would be complicated for them.
