Feel free to record it? How bad does it hurt?

I know it HAS to hurt, but compare the pain levels to something else.

Is it the kind with the two probes that you almost have to touch them with, or the one where the pricks shoot out and stick in ya?

Did record it....hurts, its a combo of pain compliance and not being able to move...plus you can feel the 1200 V going thru your body...Taser is 50K V but only 1200 makes it to the body..

If you get hit in the back with a good spread of the prongs (anything 2' and above) so roughly at 7-15' range, it makes you feel like you are folding your back in half...if you get hit in the chest, makes you feel like you are being doubled over.....basically contract all your muscles in your body at once and then have them pulse....

basically...it hurts icon_lol.gif

X26 is the model...it shoots the prongs or you can take the cartridge off the taser and use it like a cattle prod system...either way works but prongs is more dibilitating as it affects the MNI (motor neuron) which affects body movement....

The prongs are #8 fishhooks to give you an idea

Today I took the prongs being shot at 7'....one to the upper back and one to the lower back....my Cpl. got me good ;)

Off-Topic, Kyle, you guys ever had a chance to use the liquid tasers? I was reading about stun guns and tasers yesterday.

OC spray yes, stuff is NASTY.

Everything that is carried you must have used against you so 1 you are more likely to try other means and use your tools as a last result and not be "taser happy" or "spray happy". Best tool you have is verbal skills and de-escalation tactics.

Training is once per year and an option is given to have the items used against you (must be done at least once in order to carry and operate them though)

Liquid tasers I have not looked at. Tasers that law enforcement use are not available to the public. There is development for a shotgun taser which is completely wireless as well as one that looks like a claymore that shoots off several (10-20) cartridges at a time that can be used in prisons and riots.

Pretty cool stuff that companies can come up with.

Of course its not policy.... lol Not like he came home and said "Hey Son check this out!" lol... I asked for it.. hell I begged for it, Def an experience and only lasted like a second but thats really all you need with that little bugger. I asked him tonight and he said the one he used was not the dept issue but one he bought for my mom for her own protection and not nearly the volts/watts(?) of the one he has for work.... I feel kinda cheated now.

I was and still am kinda weird when it comes to pain, I like having things done that most ppl dont even want to feel once, I tried and tried to convince my dentist to pull my wisdom teeth without the anesthesia but he said it was needed icon_sad.gif
