I love Firefox, but this could be the most annoying problem I've ever had with a browser. 60% of the time when I go to open Firefox it'll give me this message. Then I have to log off windows and log back in to make it work again.

Try hitting Control + Alt + Delete and closing anything that says "Firefox"

The only other way to do it would be to go to processes and stop Firefox, but I heard that can mess with it.

I googled it and it's a pretty widespread problem.

It's happened to me before, but not enough to make it an issue. Do you have the latest version?

It happened to me a bunch on earlier releases. I ended up just reinstalling it to fix the issue.

Never happened to me. I've just started using it with version 3 though.

It only happens to me if my computer is being retarded. So only once in a while.

I usually just end the Firefox process. Or occasionally just waiting for a few minutes and trying again is successful.

It happens to me a lot on my work computer because I have this weird habit of closing firefox when I'm done browsing and then reopening it within 10 seconds. When that happens, I get the dumb error, but if I wait another 10 seconds I can open it no problems.

I think my computer is trying to secretly sabotage me. First the mouse click problem, then the cd burner drive just went out, and now firefox.

Another annoyance to add to this is that sometimes when I close a page that is playing sound, the sound just keeps on playing with no windows open. That's when I know it's gunna give me the error later.
