The reason they do that is because it's a giant waste of time and extremely cost ineffective to package and ship one LED, lol.

also the assorted led's is truely a mix of led's, retangular, 3mm, 5mm, red lensed, orange lensed, green lensed... seriously not the greatest mix when you also have no clue what the specs are....
My policy is unless you need it now, it's ALWAYS cheaper online... most of the time, there have been a few cases where it was cheaper locally but that's pretty rare... |

I bought the LED variety pack years ago to add lights to my Xmod. A few green LEDs in there were bright and true color. The other ones reminded me of LED's you would see in the 90's in a computer case.

I used to LOVE Xmods. Those things were TOO much fun. In fact I still have mine. I just sorta display them on shelves. We used to soup ours up with the nice bearings, 4wd, some better steering and put some slicker tires on there. Our basement has really short carpet. PERFECT for drifting around. We would spend hours and have 3 sets of batteries charged up ready to go and just drift around our whole pool table. With enough practice we were able to do one lone nice circle around the whole table. Good lord that was fun lol |

my buddy got me the TC on the second gen chassis.... I don't even bother playing with it cause of how much slop in in the axles, you can hold the car and rotate the rear tires like they're turning like the fronts, after seeing this and knowing how the first gen platform was it hasn't left the box it came in...

We broke quite a few X-Mods while working on the Shack, haha.
Actually we took the "broken" ones that people returned, fixed them in 10 minutes, then proceeded to break them in some way. |

The local Radioshack I typically shop at every time I walk in there is about 6 guys working. The same display they have been putting up for the past 5 months is still in pieces on the floor but someone has a piece of it in their hand. There is a guy with a wrinkled shirt behind the counter on the customer's cellphone trying to fix their bill issue so they can pay it in cash. There is an odd odor of food like a restaurant with a grill and an employee is out back eating and pops his out and then goes back in like whack-a-mole. They never have any pennies in the drawer when I check out. They are constantly rearranging the store. There is a store across town 1/4 the size with x100 more product. While the one I go to has enough floor space to play basketball but still everything is in the back of the store or out back in a box? No I don't need batteries! I am buying an ITUNES card! I would go to the nicer store that is organized but I much rather go to the **** show Radio shack because it's much more entertaining. |

Noice. Xmods were the **** when they had like 2o different models out. I had a silver RSX, my cousins had a black civic, blue civic, and an STi. We would race them around in the basement. Fun times.
