Sun was out for a while today, and it actually stopped raining long enough for the roads to dry... went out for a brief ride. Took the camera, but I wasn't feeling creative so there's nothing special here really... The matte black and pinstripped chopper was at Starbucks when I stopped to warm up for a bit... sick looking bike in person. Only got one shot cuz the camera died
2005 R6 Raven, K&N drop-in, Two Bro's slip on, Power Commander, full frame-slider kit, blacked out factory windscreen. Ah, and up 6 in rear and 1/4 turn throttle (THAT took some getting used to.. **** me..) Enjoy!
**** away the camera setting for this one...

Up SIX?! Sheesh, what're you stunting that thing? lol Looks great.
I want to do the 1/3 or 1/4 turn throttle. I hate how long mine is. |

He switched the rear sprocket with one that has six more teeth than the stock one. It makes the bike more torqey, at the sacrifice of top-end speed and higher cruising RPMs. |

That's the only thing that the previous owner did, everything else is by my hand. I absolutely hate it too... While it does take off a quicker than most 600's, combined with that 1/4 throttle it's a weeee bit eager to pick up the front wheel at 3/4 throttle through first and second. Plus I went to adjust my glove on the throttle while mergering onto I-5 one day, looked over my shoulder to check traffic, and was suddenly looking down at the ground as the front wheel pulled up going about 50. Spooky cuz it was unexpected.
This is one of my favorite things I've done so far... so nice not having to wrap my wrist out for wide-open. Took a while to get used to having ridden it around stock for months, but I still like it. I can take the throttle between my thumb and pointer finger and roll the grip between 'em, and I'll max it out. Next thing I want to do is downsize to up two in the back, maybe down one up front. While the acceleration is outstanding for a 6, top speed so far is 158mph indicated, so I'm guessing in actuality it was somewhere in the low, low 150's, maybe high 140's. Ran out of road and it was still going, but just barely. |

No way man. With that type of gearing and no Speedohealer, you're looking at a ~15% error on your speedometer and odometer. 158 indicated is only like 135 actual. I'd get a Speedohealer on that bish ASAP, if anything just to keep the mileage accurate. Is your PC3 tuned also? Just curious. I have one as well and it just has the Two Bros map on it (I had a Two Bros pipe and then switched to a no-name). I want to get it tuned at the start of next season. |

Yeah it's tuned, they had a race week at Skagit Powersports (local dealer and shop) and I had it tuned and the suspension setup for my weight and such... huge difference all around, especially in handling. On a warm day, there are no chicken strips
I could have sworn it was faster than 135ish, I was racing my buddies terminator and his in car video had a shot of the speedo at 148 right before he walked past me (ever so slightly modified car, heh). Either way, I definitely need the Speedohealer. Would like to get an accurate reading.. I know there's no way I've put damn near 6000 miles on it since I got it in mid-summer. |

I wouldn't trust the speedo of a modified car either. Best way to check is a GPS (or a police officer friend!).

this is true... Guess i could also hit the track some day and try to remember to peek at the speedo crossing the traps to compare to the slip... either way I'm getting that 'healer. And new sprockets. And some red leds for glow. And maybe some red reflective stripe tape for the rims.

Yep, the boat picture is unmolested. It's subtle, but pretty obvious once you find it
