Does anyone know how to test amps and subs to check if they work or not?

amps=put power to the power and negative to the negative
subs, just hook them up to anything that has speaker wire coming out |

To see if the subs work; you'll need a 9V battery, a pair of aligator clips, and the sub in question.
Attach one side of each aligtor clips to the positive and negative of the 9V battery. Take the other ends of the leads and touch them to the sub terminals (it doesn't matter which one). Observe the cone when you touch both leads, does it move? If it moves, the sub will play. If it doesn't, it's bad (assuming there isn't a problem w/ your battery or the wires you're using). Basically, you're sending 9V DC to the sub and seeing if it'll drive the cone out/in a little bit. |
