Pictures are a little blurry because my clear lens is dirty, and the LEDs are much, much blue..er in person. LEDs from Oz and resistors from garage1217.com. Many thanks to Jeremy from Garage 1217 for his help.

Note to self: Would have been nice to know that the notches indicate the cathode, and the arrows on the circuit board indicate which side the cathode should be on...(fried about 10 blue LEDs by soldering them on backwards).

Wow, good job. It takes major skills and confidence to solder these.

A better soldering iron and lighting and less trial and error would've saved a lot of time. If I had to do it again I could in ~2-3 hours. I'm gonna try tomorrow to get some more accurate pictures of the color, don't know why my camera is picking it up as such a light blue.

Looks good man. How did you ruin the LEDs by putting them on backwards? Did you physically damage them? Reversed voltage shouldn't damage them.

Before I figured out the notch/arrow bit, I was just trying to look at the diode inside to see which way to put them. That method doesn't work very well lol. The ones that were on backwards were fried when I went to test them out. I need to order more blue to do the ones behind the speedo needle and just noticed today that my "D" and "L" lights are also not working. Everything else is great though icon_smile.gif Now for the HVAC controls.

surface mount LEDs can be removed w/out ruining them. I do it all the time at work.

Yeah I took ~90% of the stock ones off in working order. The last few I was just wanting to be done and just got one side up and broke it off.

If you can do a little research and make sure no resistors need to be swapped out, and if so, which ones. And find the type of LEDs your gauges use and amounts, yeah I will swap them for ya. ygpm
