Under $400.
Lookin for crisp clean bass, but just enough to feel it. He had an 8" that came with his last Cobalt but wants to go a little harder. So i'm thinking 1 10" an amp and a receiver. All for under $400. Cheaper the better but we don't want to lose too much quality. It's either an '06 Chevy Cobalt. There are a million possible combos, so hook me up with a great one for great deals xD |

10" Type R $104.99
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_4045_Alpine+SWR-1042D+-TYPE+R-.html 10"sealed box $19.99 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2018_Single+10-+Sealed+MDF+Enclosure+-10SQTC-.html 500 Watt RMS Amp $199.99 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12018_Alpine+MRP-M500.html I dunno how you/he wants to wire it up so you can either get the dual 2ohm or dual 4ohm. I think this is a nice little system but everybody has their own opinions on things. I like the Type R's and the Alpine amp. I'm not sure if you can use the factory wiring for the amp so you may need a amp install kit too. EDIT: Actually you need the dual 4ohm to get to 2ohm to get the 500W RMS from the amp. I just saw the amp is out of stock but im sure someone else has it and you may not even like this system but if you do i can find you one else where or another amp. Here is a wiring kit too.... http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_52_Complete+4+Gauge+Amplifier+Kit.html |

here's my setup.
JL audio 10w1v2 $84.99 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_5161_JL+Audio+10W1v2-4.html its out of stock right now but if times an issue and 2 dollars isn't really a big issue heres another store that has it in stock. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=15650 10" Ported box $29.99 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8389_Sonic+Sub+Box-+1SV10+-BLACK+CARPET-.html 300W RMS bridged Amp $69.99 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_10796_Hitron+HA-600.2+-GRAY-.html always get people telling me it's shaking the car, and half the time i don't even play it that loud all he would need to do is get a 4 gauge wiring kit and it's good. that's well under the $400 dollar limit. my friend has a xplod 10" not as good as mine but if the money is really an issue i would go with that. |

It wouldnt hit hard, but It would give you a good daily driver bump. Nothing that would turn heads or make your mirror fall off though.
