I bought a pair of lighted door sills off Ebay, and I would like to know how to install them and make them come on when the door opens (as apposed to using a switch for them).

Any help??

Greets... You should be able to simply find the fuse in your factory fusebox that controls the dome light and then simply run the power wire for the lighted door sills to that fuse (or wire). Then ground the door sills to a known good ground somewhere in the car and your set... the door sills will illuminate with the dome light as the doors are opened & closed.

Hope it helps... L8R,

just be sure that in your car the pos+ wire is switched when the door opens because in my car the neg-- wire is switched meaning you have to wire it to a constant battery source and have the ground wire hooked to your domelight circuit....

hope this helps

Good point... Most cars I have dealt with have the positive wire switched for the dome light, however that is a good idea to make sure and check.
