I'm not sure exactly whats wrong with my car, but here are her symptoms.
It will sputter when I accelerate or go up hills. Feels like its not getting enough gas or something. Anyone have this problem in the past and know what it may be?

Sounds like its time for a full tune up, including a fuel filter.

it could be something major, but i would start with a tune up ... plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter, cap, rotor .. wouldn't hurt to do a fuel injecting cleaning. It shouldn't cost more than $100 unless you get performance parts.

I highly doubt his car has a distributor. (cap and rotor)

I would start with the obvious....is your air filter clean?

How many miles are on the car? Do you drive it aggressively at all?

102,000 miles, and I'm just a normal driver...only drive aggressively when it is necessary. Last I checked (the other day) my air filter was fairly clean, I dont think tis the problem.

It doesn't have a distributor. It has coil packs which are NOT cheap to replace (~$150).

Check your O2 sensors b/c that could cause it to run lean/rich. If your fuel filter has never been replaced that's also a good possibility. I would start with fuel filter.

O2 sensor should be replaced due to age and mileage regardless of how it is running.

IMO, your symptoms describe misfiring. Lower rpm and high load. If you have never replaced the plugs, then that should be your first thing. They are cheap and after 100k there is a very good chance they need to be replaced. Wires are probably not bad but, you can measure their resistance to find out if they are starting to go bad.

Fuel Filter is a good idea as well although I doubt it is the cause of your problems.

With a car looking like that, I wouldn't be driving it from November - March. First car I've liked with green on it anywhere.

Could be a vacume leak, do a cylinder leak test...very simple or check your lines, and fule filter
